I do disagree, however, that if they shit down my throat with these films, that I'd swallow it with a smile on my face because that's simply not true. Superman Returns had me shitting blood and Green Lantern had me splurging projectile vomit and had me doing my best TNC/Monker rants on the net for YEARS. Man of Steel AND this current direction just happens to be something I've always wanted. It feels good to support it because films like Superman Returns and Green Lantern had me wanting to drive a bus through an orphanage.

3 more days until one year hits. An official poster will be nice. A teaser...will be nice. WonderCon could be the date of the trailer.

Cavill himself said it isn't, so I wasn't sure why this was posted yesterday. I checked and there have been no comments left. LOL!

Travis - love ya to death, but it's pretty clear that you support these films with a devotion on parallel with religious fervor. They could shit straight down your throat and you'd eat it up with a smile. I was also incredibly excited about "Man of Steel", and thought it was going to be the movie of the year. Instead, I got pounded in the face with an overly noisy (from the get-go), needlessly destructive, heartless film that bordered on horror. Did it have some of the greatest Superman moments in the history of film? Absolutely! Was it the greatest Superman film of all time? FAR from it.... There was ZERO character development or really intriguing storyline, and zero reason for anyone in the audience to give a shit about any of the characters at all. It was all about spectacle -- just a very loud series of events (loosely joined by brief moments of relatable dialoge) that had no purpose outside of blowing people away. Wouldn't be surprised to find it was made by a cocaine addict who long ago forgot that a cup of coffee in the morning actually makes you feel pretty good. That could have been a HELL of a film in the right hands.

Just knowing that Zack Snyder is doing BvS gives me HUGE concerns. I'm worried it will be a hugely regretful, wasted opportunity in his hands. The guy doesn't create movies with heart or soul. He's just another McG... another Michael Bay... they can please the 'popcorn munchers' for a quick box office high, but can't create anything memorable or coherent, and definitely bring anything truly worth to a franchise.

Good post, Rip. I enjoyed 300 and the Dawn remake, but for the most part, Snyder's films leave me cold.

For the most part, I'm just updating this thread with recent news or just anything cool related to the movie.

Though, it didn't surprise me to see some Marvelites having to clean their computer monitors from spitting out all that Marvel ball-sweat they've been gargling in their mouth's over the years after hearing Jason Momoa's friendly gesture to a fan for asking what he wrote on a poster at a Comic Con a few weeks ago. Thankfully, nobody was harmed during that heinous act

For what it’s worth, I’m glad Warner Bros. is playing it slow, dispersing the information they want to drop on their own terms. It may be a minor thing, but we’re one year out and we know shockingly little about Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Come what may, especially for a project that’s been in high-profile development for nearly two years, I cannot help but be impressed and encouraged. I spend a lot of time critiquing when I think marketing departments show too much and withhold too little. So let me take a moment, before I start my other output for the day, to give a nod of the hat to the Warner Bros. marketing department for not giving in to the “spoiler entitlement culture” just yet with what is (financially-speaking) their most important film in recent memory.

It's either going to be the 4th OR when WonderCon is finished and they put it up the day after the weekend concludes. I believe they did this with both TDKRises and Man of Steel. So if not the 4th, perhaps Monday the 6th.

If neither, it's going to be the Mad Max release for sure.

A Mad Max: Fury Road trailer has been online for months. Looking forward to that one. I love the original trilogy (even Thunderdome). The trailer for Spectre dropped today, too. It's time for BvS!

I have a slight feeling we'll get the BvS trailer at Wonder Con, but not anticipating it as much as I was. CinemaCon is in a couple weeks as well. If not then, then def Mad Max.

It's anyone's guess at this point. Everyone is going CRAZY to predict when it'll hit. Frustrating thing is, the studio knows the EXACT date when to strike. They got us in the palm of their hands.

After speaking with a few sources, I’m happy to report the first Batman v Superman trailer is on the cusp of being released. I’m told it’s absolutely attached to all copies of Mad Max: Fury Road, which is an obvious place for it to debut seeing as how Mad Max is WB’s first big movie of the summer. What I’ve heard is that Warners isn’t sure it wants to release the trailer while Avengers: Age of Ultron is destroying records and driving all social traffic during the end of April and early May. If they wait until the weekend Mad Max opens on May 15th, Avengers will have already been out for two weeks and they can take over the conversation at a time when everyone is ready to talk about Batman and Superman. The bottom line is: we will absolutely have seen the first Batman v Superman trailer by May 15th.
