QAnon Supporters Vow to Leave GOP After Mitch McConnell Accepts Election Result

Supporters of the QAnon conspiracy theory have unsurprisingly turned their backs on Mitch McConnell after he finally congratulated President-elect Joe Biden on his election victory.

Followers of the radical movement who believe President Donald Trump is waging a secret war against satanic pedohiles, as well as pushing baseless claims that the election was rigged, were dismayed at the Senate Majority Leader and accusing him of being a traitor.

Others said they will now leave the GOP or even form a new political party all together.

On Tuesday, McConnell announced that the "Electoral College has spoken" after it declared Biden had won 306 Electoral Votes and referred to him as the President-elect.

Trump later criticized the Kentucky senator in a tweet: "Mitch, 75,000,000 VOTES, a record for a sitting President (by a lot)," Trump said. "Too soon to give up. Republican Party must finally learn to fight. People are angry!"

Trump's message was tweeted along with an article detailing a number of high-profile conservative figures also criticizing McConnell for accepting Biden as the president-elect.

Supporters of QAnon, which the FBI has listed as a domestic terrorist threat, were certainly angry with McConnell, with people accusing him of working for the "deep state" and referring to him as a "RINO" [Republican in name only].

A number of QAnon accounts also announced on social media that they are considering leaving the GOP as a result of McConnell's betrayal against Trump, who the conspiracy theorists see as a savior-like figure.

Jason Sullivan, former social media consultant for Roger Stone, even formally announced the launching of the Great American Party (GAP) in the wake of McConnell's comments about Biden. Sullivan began his announcement by addressing "patriots," another name used for QAnon supporters.

"TODAY our political establishments have abandoned us all. TODAY, we stand at the precipice of a new day in American patriotism as the establishments have NOT only failed us, they have deliberately led us astray," Sullivan tweeted.

"TODAY, the sleeping giant has awakened and out of the ashes of this GREAT AWAKENING will rise, like a Phoenix, a new party, an army of Patriots who are all more than willing to STAND IN THE GAP to defend her. An army of Patriots who are willing to risk it all."

Stone, a longtime ally of Trump, previously suggested that he hopes QAnon is real and recently accused outgoing attorney general Bill Barr of working with the "deep state."

Sullivan's calls for a new party was shared by Ann Vandersteel, host of the conspiracy theory podcast Steel Truth and outspoken QAnon believer.

A number of other high-profile QAnon supporters also attacked McConnell for recognizing Biden as the winner of the election.

Former national security advisor Michael Flynn, who has QAnon hashtags in his Twitter bio and took a makeshift oath of office in his backyard that ended with the QAnon slogan "where we go one we go all," [WWG1WGA] hit out at Republicans for not backing Trump's baseless and unproven claims he won the election.

"America is growing weary of the Republican Party not fighting for the truth or @realDonaldTrump," Flynn tweeted. "Instead they cower to special & foreign interests. #WeThePeople will not be treated like fools. @POTUS won the election & everyone knows it."

Lin Wood, the attorney who is attempting to overturn election results along with fellow QAnon supporter Sidney Powell, tweeted: "Mitch McConnell @senatemajldr is NOT a Patriot. Ask his wife. She knows.

"McConnell just wants power, influence, & money. He is willing to sell America to get what he wants. McConnell is a traitor to American Patriots. His day of judgment is coming."

Wood also has the WWG1WGA hashtag in his Twitter bio.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, a QAnon supporter who was elected to congress in November after running in Georgia's 14th Congressional District unopposed, tweeted: Every 'Republican' that isn't fighting for @realDonaldTrump's 2020 landslide victory is supporting the Chinese Communist Party takeover of America."

I don't remember you respecting the results of the 2016 election. At every turn you said Trump was elected fraudulently. Blame yourself for paving the way. So, here are the last ditch efforts to steal the election from Biden:

A lawsuit to allow Pence to determine if an alternate set of electors from a state will be counted, instead of what that state certified. Some swing states had Trump appointed electors selected, but none were certified by the state. The effort is meant to over turn previous court rulings that make the Vice President's role most ceremonial. This effort has no chance of working...it is DOA, just as almost ever other lawsuit brought on by Trump and his supporters.

Pence not certifying the election for Biden. Trump has called this the "ultimate betrayal". But, not doing it would be the ultimate betrayal of the Constitution. In the end, whatever Pence does is irrelevant. The states have already certified their electors. As I said, Pence's role is ceremonial.

The last effort is for objections in the senate for various states electors. Several senators have already said they will do this. This also has no chance of success because for the electors to be rejected BOTH houses of congress have to agree. The House has a majority of Democrats so they will lose that vote. In fact, IMO, I think they'll lose the Senate vote as well. In the end, it will go nowhere.

None of this was EVER going to work.

There was NEVER any real evidence of wide spread voter fraud. If there was, it would have been brought to court. Even Republican judges brought in by Trump ruled against him. They had NOTHING.

The US Supreme Court summarily dismissed it twice with only a few sentences. They knew there was nothing there...and the states decide their electors, not the US Supreme Court. The 2000 election cemented that.

For there to be widespread voter fraud, you have believe:
Trump's lawyers are stupid and forgot to present the evidence.
ALL of the state judges are corrupt, including Republican judges and those brought in by Trump.
Democrat and REPUBLICAN state governors, Secretaries of State, and election officials, etc, are all corrupt in multiple states.
The US Supreme Court is corrupt, including the three judges brought in by Trump, when they refused the case.
The Georgia HAND RECOUNT of the paper ballots (no voting machines) was wrong.
When Attorney General Barr said there was no evidence of wide spread voting fraud, he is anti-Trump and lying.
The Georgia electronic recount (ask for by Trump AFTER the hand recount) was wrong.
The recounts in other states were wrong.
The Democrats rigged the election for Biden, and didn't rig it to win the Senate, and LOST seats in the House.
You may even resort to crazy theories about votes being counted out of the country or Dominion machines switching votes

Dude, you are a broken record. None of this even matters. Biden got millions more votes than Clinton, and millions more votes than Trump. He won electorally with the same numbers as Trump did over Clinton. Trump lost...and is in the minority nationally and electorally.
