Will Van Halen get their Star on Walk of Fame too?

They certainly are deserving.

I should probably start by saying I don't know or not if they have one so...

But let me say this. After seeing Journey get their Star, I'm telling you that the moment brings out the good in everyone. If Steve freaking Perry can show up and appear, then so too can DLR and Sammy and everyone else. Alot of good came from that ceremony..Exposure, news, and a possibility of a rekindled something or not.

What do all you VH fans think about that, and do you want to see VH get a star or don't you care??

Dave would have no problem showing up. The problem is whether Eddie and Alex want him there. The answer is most likely no.

Van Halen deserve to be inducted into the RNRHOF in Cleveland & get their star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. BTW, Journey doesn't deserve to be inducted into the RNRHOF or on the walk of fame.

I would like to see them get a star, for what it's worth......Edward influenced a whole generation of players, Roth held our attention, like him or not, and Alex and Mike provided a solid wall of sound backdrop.......Sammy brought some middle aged 'adolescence' (and some chart success).
Of course they deserve it. And of course I wish they will play on......they have been the soundtrack to my life.

Why is it a lot of VH fans despise Journey and their success? I didn't start a war but will be happy to fight a little. Is it because VH opened for Journey in '78?? Or is it because Journey is still going? Or because Neal Schon is NOW a much better guitar player?? Jesus, give them their due..

That's no problem mate......I don't despise Journey BTW, and having been a member of various VH boards since 2001, I can't ever recall any discussion or comparison with Journey. Honestly.
I just don't think Most VH fans give a toss about Journey.....as for Schon being a much better player? It's hard, but I'm not going to go there, because I will likely get very upset!

No problem here kenny..Like I said, I was totally complimenting VH..He wants war, but right now, I don't think VH is in any position to fight on....thanks Kenny..Good luck to VH..I know a shitload of Journey fans that want them to come back too.

Van Halen does deserve one, of course. One of the most influential rock bands of all time. One that was arguably MORE popular after getting a new lead singer (although I prefer Diamond Dave).

Yes it's 15,000 bucks but you have to have some validity, some success. It wasn't like Irving Azoff said, here's 15k, get me a Journey star...Thats an easy way to get publicity. After Journey got that star, their GH cd was at no. 4 on the charts..it does work.
