Quick VH rundown - manager, producer, label?

I've been out of the loop ever since I basically stopped following VH trivia after the VH-III disc.

So if anyone could fill me in, that'd be great.

Since Hagar is back in the band, could you by any chance enlighten me if Ray Danniels is still VH's manager? If he is, then how come Hagar accept the reunion? If not, who's the new manager and how did Sammy and the VH brothers agree on him?

Also is there any website where I can find info on what the Rush members think of Ray Danniels' management?

Also what label is VH on? Warner dropped them a few years back.

Thanks!

Manager? I wish.
Producer? Nope.
Label? No need.

You really have been out of the loop. I think all of your questions have been answered in these forums. As for Rush, you might want to post that question in the Rush forum.

I don't think there IS a loop when it comes to VH these days.

I thought they were stil w/ Warner Bros. Or is that just an album by album thing. BOBW a 1-shot Warner deal?

Get Dave AND Sam back, go into 5150 with Ted Templeman who's produced the best albums of BOTH (Diver Down And FUCK) eras and put together a 12 song masterpiece with 6 Daves, 6 Sammys. The Daves in the style of Me Wise Magic and Can't Get This Stuff and the Sams styled like Up For Breakfast. It'd go platinum in 30 days.

God I wish that could happen.

You applying for the VH manager job, Red? That CD would sell big, just wondering how something like that would be promoted on the road. You know DLR wouldn't be able to handle it. It's a shame egos have to ruin something that could be great...

You, Sam head you are, KNOW Sammy's up for it. Hell, he'd do it w/ Gary too Sam's so laid back and self assured.
I think Dave would be the second biggest obstacle behind Edward. But even HE made it through the Sam/Dave tour.

I wish Eddie would give in on this. I think he still factors sam in but still rules Dave out........

I don't even need a tour. Just gimme that album.

I don't need a tour, either, but wouldn't record companies DEMAND it?

Sam is the coolest b/c he appreciates other's talents and is honored to work with other megastars. He is not threatened b/c he knows he can bring it, too. I think DLR is just insecure cuz he has lost his voice and hair!

You guys haven't answered my question about Ray Danniels. Is he still involved with VH or not?

He was the reason for Sam and the band's split in the first place and if he's still in the picture I'd like to know how Sam returned to the band for the best of package.

Dude, who knows?
Anymore you need to pass a retinal scan and voiceprint check as well as have QClearance to get any VH info.

No. Irving Azoff managed VH last.

Did the brothers have a sore fall-out with Ray Danniels? I know Sammy hated his guys. Refer to this link for a LONG excerpt from Hagar's unpublished book and his stories about Danniels, which I take for granted.

I'd love to hear how Ed got rid of him and Danniels is doing now. Still with Rush or is he involved with other bands trying to screw them over? I highly doubt he may have been as bad the new guy whom I'm totally unfamiliar with.

??

I don't think V.H. is in need of a manager, or a label. Edward needs therapy,Mike needs a band, and Al needs a new neckbrace from shakin his head at his dumbass brother. I would'nt be a bit shocked if they could even get a record deal. Edwards new nickname should be Axel Rose. I wonder if those two are related...hhmmm.

Oh, they can get on any label of their picking right now ItBob.
They put out a double disc hits album with material that's already been packaged 2-3 times before and it goes platinum. For all the weirdness and stupidity if they announced right now they had a finished 12-song rock album with either Sam or Dave fronting and were shopping it to the highest bidding label the war would be on.

Deano, what if it was a Dave-fronted effort?
I'm not talking about his live show, but if VH hired him back to do recordings. You think they couldn't sell a mil or even get a label?

Have you guys read Sammy's unpublished VH book where he cuts loose on the Ray Danniels and VH brothers?

I know there are two sides of a story, but I've always hated Ray Danniels for screwing the band. I just wanna know whatever happened to him and how they got rid of him. Did the VH brother wake up from their winter sleep and kick his ass out or did he just leave himself after realising there was no more VH to exploit?

What label released their last best of package and who produced it?

I think the newbies were a co-production of Templeman and the band itself.
A Warner Bros release.

You know, I take it back..Of course they could get a label..Fucking that Ho dude from American Idol got a label...

I think they could sell a mil with either of the 2 fronters..I am so entrenched with Journey, I didn't seperate the two..Now if Perry came back, Journey would probably go platinum faster than VH..If the two bands were to join forces and tour, it would be HUGE.. But Neal would get so tired of Ed's shit, it wouldn't last..Ed is still pissed that VH opened for Journey in 77..

A Warner Bros release? How come? Didn't the label drop VH way before Sam and Ed hooked up? Did they re-sign?

Yep, WB put it out. It was likely a 1-shot deal. When the next record comes out, I'll bet it's WB too, even if it is on a release-by-release (as opposed to say a 5-album contract) basis. Not altogether unprecendented. JRNY said they were basically doing a series of 1-record deals with Columbia for a good while, since I think ROR. I think Warner dropped VHas a wakeup call all the while knowing they wanted to sign them again when they finally finished something.

Neal would blow Eddie away...am I saying this on the VH board...
is this the reason Soul Sirkus didn't play the Cal dates with VH last year or maybe he was just pissed at Neal over the Planet Us thing, that could be it I guess. I saw VH in Charlotte, NC last year and Ed was sloppy that night and I've read several bad reviews about the shape he was in at other shows. I've seen Journey several times and saw the first two Soul Sirkus shows earlier this year, Neal is only getting even better. Hopefully Eddie will get himself straightened out.

Unless something's changed, WB still has right of first refusal.
