Van Halen is history.

Postby Wayne » Thu Nov 10, 2005 3:05 am

It's time for some old fans & some young fans to get a grip on reality that the legendary rock band known as Van Halen probably won't be touring or releasing anymore albums in the near future. I'm not expecting another album or another tour from VH but I do think that Eddie Van Halen will release his first official solo album before too long. David Lee Roth might be more popular than Howard Stern in the next 5 years with his new radio gig while the prospects for a reunion of the original band happening is about as remote as the Beatles.

You say "probably" and you say "near future". Sounds like even YOU are keeping the door open...

Wayne wrote:I'm not expecting another album or another tour from VH

I don't think any one else is either. But that does not mean it will never happen. We can keep an ear to the ground in the hopes of something, without it consuming our lives. We are not "holding our breath" but we remain hopeful.

Wayne wrote:but I do think that Eddie Van Halen will release his first official solo album before too long.

Really? Before too long? Why would you think that? I know EVH said he has written all during the time VH was "down" and that he has enough material for several albums, but I have seen NO indication that EVH has the desire to do ANYTHING really.

That is fine. I do not ever see a reunion with DLR happening. I think GH Vol 1 killed that chance. And at this time Sammy is still considered the lead singer of Van Halen.

I think DLR will crash and burn. His sense of humor is too obscure, and really wears on you. I think he is a tad crispy.

You're crazy & you know it Abitaman. I do have to say to jrnyman28 that it's good to know you are in the right state of mind mentally agreeing with me that you don't expect a reunion of the original Van Halen anytime soon.

I did read somewhere that plans were afoot to clone George Harrison for a reunion tour.......and that even Ringo was going to be cloned, with implanted DNA from an actual drummer, even though he's not officially dead. (Ringo, not the drummer)

Lennon apparently issued a 'no comment' from his safe house in Latvia, where he makes a living by farting the national anthem on street corners.

Seriously though, have you heard the new Gary Cherone album? It's not bad.

And I'd personally like to thank my ol' pal Wayne for the exclusive, scintillating news flash that VH "probably won't be touring or releasing anymore albums in the near future" - what a fucking scoop.

How does he do it, sports fans???

I thought the latest scoop was that Lennon would be coming to the States from his home in Latvia to front VH!

I don't take anything you say seriously at all, but if you want to whine about everything I say, go ahead jrnyman28 & anybody else. I'm just giving my opinions on one of my favorite bands of my youth which is VH. If anybody has a problem with me being here I don't really care because you must be " mentally crazy & intellectually uptight " if you do.

'Get some kangaroos'??? What, catch some and eat them?? Keep them as pets?? WTF are you talking about??

Is that the extent of your knowledge of Australia, that there are kangaroos here??

Posting that Van Halen won't be recording or touring in the near future makes you sound like a fucking moron Wayne.
You are stating the fucking obvious, and you are about as interesting as watching a new 'terror' threat appear everytime one of the NWO puppets needs it to distact the attention of sorry ass butt flunkys like you from real issues like why they lie incessantly.

I think I prefer it when you're talking about your sexual fetishes....and that's saying something, slave-drone.

I know you live in the past Kenny which is why you think Eddie Van Halen is still 25 years old & the next VH album will be similiar to Van Halen, Fair Warning & 1984, which isn't the case. Yes it's true. I don't expect another album or another tour from Van Halen anytime soon. The only good things about Australia is AC/DC. the Bee Gees & Olivia Newton-John because it sure isn't you asshole.
