Two weeks until radio's comeback?

That's right, boys and girls, Diamond David Lee Roth will be sailing through the atmosphere in the radio frequency zone.

Sorry. I can't speak (or type) in a Dave-like manner. However, since boycotting radio after ClearChannel's axing of a long time favorite rock station some time ago, I believe I'll be tuning in to see what Mr. Roth has to say.

Is this the beginning of a new era, or the end of the world as we know it?

I think he will make everyone appreciate Stern. I give him 6 months, tops.

You're right VH101, radio starts in earnest January 9th.

Stern on Sirius.

Dave has no chance...

Don't get me wrong, I love Diamond Dave. I just have always found his humor to be very obscure. I don't see a minstream audience sticking with him.

Sadly there is a strong market for morning talk radio. People will listen, no matter who is on! Everyone expects the numbers to be low after replacing Stern, so they will give him the time. I actually think DLR will burn out before he loses the job. I do not see DLR with the endurance to keep up a radio show long term...

Hopefully Dave uses his musical legacy to bring artists in studio to perform.........because that would be far more interesting to me than lesbian strippers and fart jokes.

If he copies Stern at all, he is toast.

Just imagine farting lesbians!!

I agree, I think it will be more of an artist appearance/tales of the old days kinda thing.

LOL Farting Lesbians!!!!

Seriously, I think Dave could have another Chevy Chase talk show type disaster on his hands, if things don't get off to a good start. What a train wreck that show was!

LOL Deano,

Don't get me wrong.........I like Lesbians as much as the next guy, but listening to them on the radio does about as much for me as going to a strip clubs does. Maybe it's more of a young guy thing. I guess I've gotten jaded in my middle age....

I definitely agree. Good comparison.

What a crazy life DLR leads. He went from touring with Sammy to being an EMT to replacing Stern.

I know..I was always so jealous listening to Stern and Artie getting to feel all those boobs, and pet those asses...

On radio, "we" the listeners could experience it.

I did love the games though..

"It's Just wrong." Where fathers bring the daughters in, and if they answer questions wrong, he had to remove an article of clothing from his own daughter! First girl naked loses... Great thought process.

Or, "Lord of the Anal Ring Toss." A naked chick has a pipe put up her shithole, and the others throw rings onto to like horshoes...genius.

How about ""Strap on Baseball?" self explanatory.

"The Homeless game."

Stern is a genius. But Dave has that knack though..I definitely think he wil be better than Adam Corolla.

I'm looking forward to checking out Dave's show. Like NIG said, the humor's obscure. Deano might call it code, but tfor those that pick up on it it is quite humorous indeed. 8)

VH101.

Dude, you are in Dallas? Are you sure you are getting Dave? You might be stuck with Corolla.

It was my understanding that all stations, that start with "K", ie, westof the Mississippi River, get Adam...and all "W" east of, get Dave.
