All I can say is...WOW! I guess alcohol and cigarettes really can age you. It was extremely heart-breaking to see Eddie in such bad shape.

Remember that there was cancer, a failed "reunion" and a divorce in there as well.

I did not see him there though so I hope someone can provide a link to a picture.

He looks terrible. If he wasn't upright in the photos, I'd think he was dying.

Who cares how the man looks? Well, I don't.

It's good to see he actually goes to social functions. And, if he can still jump around and play guitar, I'd still pay to see that!

I'd like to think that most people feel or think the same as you, but I believe there are people out there who just fixate on how a person looks, and not give a thought about that person's health.

Well personally, in this case how can his looks not make you wonder how healthy he might be?

The first thing I thought of when I saw that photo of Eddie was that it looked eerily similar to that Nick Nolte arrest photo. Yikes! Damn Eddie eat a vegetable man.

What is bothersome is Eddie still continues to live the lifestyle of his past. Val endured his antics and nursed him to “recovery”. Eddie can strut around with any trophy as he pleases. In his heart he lost the best friend and soul mate he had.

You can't speak for either party unless you're one of them, which I seriously doubt.

The only thing wrong about self-destruction is the people who give a shit about the "destructee" get hurt.

As a huge vh fan i have no respect for the guy.He might be a great guitar player,but as a person he's a bum.
He has ruined what could've been one of the greatest bands of all time.
Hes a drunk,his wife left him,3 singers left him or he fired,and his bass player is giving him heaps in that new interview in the Burn mag.
So it doesnt say much for EVH... health wise i hope he gets better..

Some people are just like that. George Best was granted a new liver, he just went on his merry way porking that one as well. And Britain mourned his passing just as the rock fraternity and its fans will mourn EVH's: for his achievements rather than his follies.

Meanwhile, no point casting aspersions on people we don't know, they're letting us live our lives the way we'd like...

And hey I'll be the first person to put my hand up when the question gets asked "So whose annoyed that VH can't get it together to record more music and tour?" As far as trying to understand the egocentricities of a man whose current state of activity belies that ground breaking career...next.

I have seen quite a few pix now, and I will say this: If the guy would get some dental work, then he wouldn't look too terrible.

Eddie's health didn't look too good at the Oscar party earlier this year & his age was showing as well, but he might have an album in him, without his legendary band though.

Is that the photo where he resembles somebody who probably lives with 68 cats?

I just listened to Vic play "Run Around", and he sounds good to me. Has a better sound than Ed does .

Damn, that once elfin grin looks like something you'd see in a cheesy horror flick.Freddie Kruger has better teeth now.

Also, with the cancer, the divorce and the drinking and failed tour, he also had his hip replaced too.
