What do you all think of this? Looks like success is finally disrupting the relationship between BJ and RS.

THE BON JOVI MYSTERY:
Still no clear indication of what is going on in Bon Jovi land, but if recent reports are accurate - especially the absolutely horrid reviews coming in from the band's final European show at Hull in the UK - it seems there is definite tension within the band, most likely between frontman Jon Bon Jovi and guitarist Richie Sambora. All the reviews of the Hull show say frontman JBJ could not hide his foul mood on stage and barely acknowledged Richie all night.
I learnt overnight that negotiations with the band to bring them to Moncton, New Brunswick in Canada were well underway before also being abruptly terminated. The band have a handful of North American dates left, culminating in one final show at Giants Stadium, NJ, July 29.

Wonder if it stems from the drama in Richie's life right now? Jon's probably pissed that he's not always the center of attention, haha. Or he's realized that Richie sings better than he does...I haven't cared for the new album but it would be a shame if they let things, whatever they might be, come between them after patching up past differences.
Then again, maybe its blown out of proportion.

I like the new CD more than I thought I would. Seems like RS is going through a mid-life crisis.

Yea, but Bon Giovi is a complete tool. Watch that This Left Feels Right dvd and he's pulling a goddam Sting. "I wrote this song..." "This is a song I wrote while..."

"This was the 6th #1 song I wrote..."

Given the "strength" of the friendships within 'the brotherhood' that is Bon Jovi, I am surprised that something could be doing so much damage! It couldn't possibly be something as trivial as Richie and Denise. Unless Richie has been missing rehearsals or flights or something...

Richie definately has a better voice than Jon, too bad his confidence has never been there enough to make a real go at it. Maybe Jon has been keeping RS down? Maybe he is realizing this now? Of course Bon Jovi will always be more successful than any solo projects...look at Jon's. But RS could be doing so much more!

Why does JBJ sing through his nose now? I noticed this getting progrssively worse over the past 5 years or so. Helluva front man but singer? Not so much.

Totally. He's becoming Vince Neil in reverse. Where Neil did it from TFFL through some of Theater Of Pain, by the time GGG came out he had his real adult voice and never did it again.

I was at the Hull gig and it was a total shambles from the moment it was announced. Basically the date was a late addition long after all the other dates had been announced and already sold out. The ticket prices were hugely over priced and as a result only about 10,000 tickets had been sold as the date fast approached. The prices were slashed to encourage more people to turn up and were still being sold on the night just hours before Bon Jovi were due to hit the stage. I got stung big time cos I made the mistake of buying my ticket on the day of release. I paid £60 for my ticket and in the same Gold Circle enclosure as me were people who had paid £40 or less for the same vantage point. The fact that this date was announced so long after the other shows meant that support act Nickleback were not even on the bill, (probably cos by the time of the date being announced they had already made other arrangements), so we had to suffer - and I mean suffer - the pathetic excuses for a support act in the shape of some pop group from London called Kubb, who's guitarist basically ripped off every guitar riff that The Edge had ever done on U2's songs and a bunch of schoolboy teenagers who won a radio contest to be the opening act. All in all the show was doomed to failure cos of the poor excuse for a promoter for the show. Bon Jovi were good but not the brilliant live band of a few years ago. Jon basically seemed uninterested in the whole event and as a result the whole show suffered as a consequence. His voice is not as good as it once was, and he certainly seemed to have an air of apathy and even a bad mood. Sure he smiled his smile now and again to make the girlies scream, but on the whole he strolled around the stage in his leather jacket and very rarely moved away from the centre of the stage. There was virtually no interaction with the crowd or the contest winners who were allowed to get close to the band on stage. Indeed when 2 girls managed to climb the barriers and ran to him he was very rude with his "Hey!! I'm working here!!" reaction. The songs were well executed but there was a distinct lack of showmanship that we have always had from the band. The sound was a bit bassy at times too. Value for money I did not get by any stretch of imagination. I'm sure a better and more appropriate support act would have been the catalyst to inspire Bon Jovi to put on a better performance and make them raise their game. As for tension between Jon and Ritchie there didnt appear to be any friction between them as they chatted and joked with each other on the stage. However Jon seemed less chirpy towards all the other musicians on the stage.
