Not sure if this was posted yet, just read this on the front page:

And lastly - some Sammy Hagar concert news:
From Sammy's redrocker.com website - "Be looking for the latest 5.1 sound mix which is a 2 hour show & 2 hour DVD with a bonus!! Coming in February! It's awesome! It may be the best concert footage I've ever seen. The St. Louis fans were unbelievable!!! Let's talk about seeing Red in the audience! Sammy & the Wabo's Livin It Up St. Louis, featuring special guests, Michael Anthony and the Other Half. (Don't you love the long titles). And if you aren't having any fun yet you certainly will when you see this!! We'll give you more information as we get it...Sammy."

And this from updated TV listings - see it before it arrives on DVD: "Sun, Dec 3 - 9:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM PT Sammy Hagar And The Wabos - Livin' It Up Live! - Premiere
Caught live in St Louis on their sold out 2006 US tour, Sammy And The Wabos bring down the house with songs from their new album, Livin' It Up as well as some of Sammy's famed solo work. Joined on stage for the second half of the show by legendary Van Halen bassist, Michael Anthony, the band rips through some of rock radio's classic tunes. From "I Can't Drive 55" and "Mas Tequila" to "Finish What You Started" and "Right Now", it's one big Cabo party with the "Red Rocker"!"

Something to look forward to, especially if you missed his Livin' It Up Tour 8) Thanks for the news, Andrew!

I was at that show - and I can assure that that it totally fucking rocked!!! Saint Louis is where the RedRocker got his nickname. I've seen him there three times solo and once with Van Halen.

I'm not sure, but here's what Sammy said at the concert:

Sammy Hagar wrote:Sammy Hagar announced in front of 18,000+ fans during his St. Louis concert Saturday (May 14) that he would open a Cabo Wabo Cantina in spring 2007 in St. Louis' new $290 million Bottle District. The St. Louis Cabo Wabo Cantina is expected to be one of the select markets to which Sammy will bring Cantinas over the next few years.

"I love St. Louis!" said Sammy Hagar, legendary rocker and the genius behind the Cabo Wabo brand. "I was given the name Red Rocker in St. Louis. I love the people here. I can't wait till we're open."

You've never heard that one? You're in for a treat, then.

And I love Sammy, but... :?

Here's one:

Blabbermouth.net quotes Hagar as saying, "It's been a long, long time, but back in about '68, in Fontana, California, I had this unbelievable experience…I'm a firm believer—have seen, have felt, have been contacted three or four different times. I have received information that has been valuable in my life from those people, and they have used me. I'm gonna sound like a complete nut here, but they have used me in an experimental fashion. The easiest way to put it is that they downloaded my brain information. When I was about 19 or 20, they downloaded everything that was in my head. And I caught 'em doin' it! I woke up in the middle of the night, thinkin', 'What's goin' on?' They were like, 'Oh, my god, he's waking up!' But this was all telepathy—there were no words being spoken. And as soon as I woke up—it was probably three o'clock in the morning—my whole room was so bright that I could hardly keep my eyes open. I was wide-awake, I could not move, eyes open, white room, they were still disconnecting—and when they did, it just went 'bang!' Everything went back to normal, back to black. I was shaking, I almost passed out, I was sick to my stomach and almost had to throw up, it was so scary…

"It sent me on a course of curiosity. I bought a telescope, and I started reading UFO books, and I just got into the whole thing. And since then, there have been three or four other contacts with the same group of people. I don't know who…they are, but I've narrowed them down to a people called the Nine, who are called that because they're from the Ninth Dimension. I've named my publishing company the Nine Music after them. It's a crazy thing, man. But to me, anyone who thinks we're the only ones here, despite the vastness of the entire universe, is…crazy. Those people gotta be put away—no the guys having these contacts!"

If you Google Sammy Hagar + Aliens, you can find several articles where he mentions it.

I wonder if he just drank a little too much Cabo Wabo tequila that night?

But, this happened in 1968 when he was "19 or 20". That's WAY before his Tequila days. It didn't say (in this article), but he claims he was 100% sober...no drugs or alcohol...when it happened.
