Very cool read. Suprised to hear Sam speak so highly of DLR.

Sammy is the coolest. And one of the reasons that he IS the coolest...is that he tells it like it is.

And then try to get an honest, straight-forward answer from Eddie. Or Dave.

Yeah, that was cool. This part is interesting:

I think the biggest problem is between Eddie and Dave, more than me or anyone, and then me and Dave. So you throw that little trio together. And then for them saying they threw Mikey out of the band, I don't pay much attention to any of that stuff. Having Mikey being there, he's the only bass player that's ever been in Van Halen! Eddie -- who knows? -- might want to bring Wolfie up and debut Wolfie or something. If it's used for that kind of a platform, it would be ugly. I hope for the best.

If Eddie uses this as a platform to promote Wolfgang and the supposed upcoming "reunion", any respect I have left for him will be gone.

Those guys should take a good look at Sammy, how he handles himself, and try to understand what class is. And then keep that in mind for the HOF ceremony.

Yep, I think Sammy is very behind a VH reuinion w/ Dave.

#1 because I think he's had it with VH, wants no part of anymore, is VERY secure financially and otherwise

#2 he is a FAN of Van Halen w/ Dave and is probably pulling for Dave to get a break by the VanBros.

Or maybe he'd like nothing better than to see Dave and Eddie make complete and total asses of themselves.

I agree with pretty much everyone has said so far. Especially the parts about Sammy being a class act. He and Mike are the only two sane people in that bunch. Wolfie has no business on stage at the HOF period. And NIG the picture about what a vh/dave tour will turn out to be.. Classic! And most likely accurate.

Sammy rocks! But those guys over at RothArmy.com hate him with a passion. They have never gotten over him replacing Roth. Oh well, it should be quite a soap opera over the next few months as this all comes together.

Agree 100%, Voyager. Never could quite understand RothArmy's hostility toward Sammy. He certainly had nothing to do with Dave leaving VH. Not many of the true diehards are willing to place the blame where it really lies - with both Dave and Eddie. These are the same people who have not been able to adjust to life outside of the 80's! I can't even think that Sammy took Dave's place - he simply steered Van Halen in a different direction. Sammy is a cool guy and, IMO, fully deserves induction into the HOF as a member of Van Halen.
