Bulls***t. Those f**kers saw the negative press and they're trying to save face. Even if it is true, I still support Roth. DD should get to pick the song he wants to perform at his induction ceremony. But I don't buy it. Those Hall of Shame a**holes are a bunch of turds in ties.

Its on VH1 Classic. ( its on now)
The show is interesting, but also very stuffy. Michael Anthony is definitely there.

Scott Weiland, you F***ING SUCK DONKEY BALLS! Holy s**t! This is 10,000 times worse than I thought it would be. I had a friend of mine call me when Sammy & Mike (God Bless 'em, I love those guys to death) got up there, holding out the slightest hope that Dave would be there and he'd get to sing. They obviously pulled "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" (the d**khead execs at the Hall of Shame) out of their collective a**holes just to spite Dave and try to get away with their lies (i.e. they didn't stand in Dave's way). A friend of mine who's connected to the industry (no, I won't reveal my source) told me he has it on good word that Dave had Steve Vai lined up to do the gig. Do you honestly think that DAVE would turn down a chance to perform HIS signature song (Ain't Talkin') at the HOS induction ceremony? Bulls**t. I'm sorry; I'm coming across like an illiterate schmuck right now, but sometimes that's all I can come up with. And now, I'm listening to the "house band" those b**twipes were going to assign Dave to sing with. No wonder. Good call, Dave. Sam & Mike sound pretty good, but the guitarist is worse than I am. Holy crap. That seals the deal. Dave knew what he was doing. Poor Sammy was just so excited to be there. What a travesty.

Very Sad. The big moment here and gone and it SUCKED. Who would have thought it would turn out like that? VR sounded bad. Sam and Mike made the best of it. It's a shame.

This is why Roth did not show. Who could blame him?
VELVET REVOLVER performed in place of VAN HALEN and without Roth. Frontman Scott Weiland explained the ensuing controversy: "We were asked to perform. Kinda what happened was, he wanted to sing the song 'Jump'. We felt from an artistic standpoint, and I'm being totally honest with you, that it wasn't a song we felt comfortable with. We don't have keyboards. To bring a keyboard on stage wouldn't work for us. We said we'd do 'Jamie's Cryin'' or 'You Really Got Me', and he was adamant that wasn't okay."
