Has anybody heard the new REO yet? If so, how is it? I'm not a huge fan of the band but the "deluxe" 3 disc version at Wal-Mart is a great deal and I'm tempted to pick it up.

I really like it a lot. I haven't stopped listening to it since I bought it on Tuesday. I think that I'd give it a 9/10. The Wal-Mart package is a superb deal for $14.88, and I normally hate "special" and "exclusive" releases. Hi Infidelity Then Again...Live is Hi Infidelity performed live in its entirety, and the performances are great! The bonus DVD contains seven songs, so it's not quite a full DVD, but it has a lot more songs than many other bonus DVDs, and it even has more songs than those 20th Century Masters DVDs. Two full CDs and a medium-length DVD!

Based on 'Drew's review I will be plunking down coin for this.
Looking forward. I like the way their sound's evolved over the years.

The album still hasn't left my player(s), except to listen to Hi Infidelity Then Again...Live a few times (which I love as well). I'm really glad that they got this fine album out. It'll definitely be a contender for my favorite album of 2007 at the end of the year. I'll post my own song by song review if anyone would like that, although I thought that Andrew gave a pretty accurate review. We just disagree a little bit on how much we like certain songs and stuff like that.

So far, so good, with the new Reo album.

I`ve also been playing this non stop and as a big fan of Reo, it`s very refreshing to hear the blandness off the last 2 albums is missing.

Must admit I`m quite enjoying this at the moment.

Roll on June, where I`ll get to see them live for the first time since 1995.

Cheers :D

I just got done listening to it the first time. First impression is very impressive!
But I gotta tell ya, if I didn't know it was REO, I would have listened to KC's songs KNOWING they sounded familiar, but not able to put a finger on it, because his voice has changed (for the better I think--less nasally) so much.

And that opener with Bruce is a barnstormer!!

After reading Andrew's review and the comments here I went ahead and picked up the deluxe version and am glad I did. It's not a perfect album but certainly better than one might expect from a band that has been around for 35-odd years. I haven't watched the DVD yet but the live Hi Infidelity bonus CD is a fun listen too. Has anyone else noticed that Kevin bears an eerie resemblance to Anne Murray in some of the photos in the booklet, lol...
