Bon Jovi Calgary, July 11/07.. Ticket Prices..GASP!

Unbelievable..

I knew Bon Jovi was coming to Calgary (about 3 hours North of Edmonton) and sometimes Calgary gets shows that we don't the last few years (Rush, U2, Stones, and now Bon Jovi) and vice versa (Edm will get the Police, etc)

But after seeing the prices for Bon Jovi, especially in their product the last ten or so years, I am just Stunned.. I was thinking maybe $85 bucks or $100-125 at the most..

Before Ticketmaster fees take effect.. tickets are:

ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY NINE DOLLARS CDN.

Let me repeat:

$169.00

Then it's $149.00

And finally for nosebleeds,

$89.00

Now take into effect the $12-15 CDN service charges and you're looking at about 185.00 a ticket.

What's really scary is that it's SOLD OUT. (The oil and gas industry here in booming, lots of expendable income) but still..

185 bucks for Bon Jovi? (btw that's roughly 165 USD, 197 AUSD, 121 Euro, and 82 GB Pounds)

Now I know Bon Jovi's prices when they play Vegas are always more, but when they are playing Milwaukee, they're 80 USD.. All I can say is.. WTF?

I can see the Police, Roger Waters, Pink Floyd, The Stones and The Who charging that or more, but that much for Jon and the boys?

Puh lease!!

Yeah I had a biiiiiiiiiig rant about the ticket prices for the o2 arena in London too, but I can't be bothered to get into it now.

Basically they're about the same when u convert the currencies.
