Queen/Paul Rodgers

Postby Sharon45 » Fri Jul 27, 2007 1:20 pm

Okay, I have what may be a stupid question, and I"m hoping someone can help me out. I just bought the Queen w/Paul Rodgers dvd the other night, and have watched it twice. It's awesome, by the way. I LOVE Paul Rodgers! The greatest voice in rock! My question is this: why wasn't John Deacon featured on this dvd? Did he not do the Queen tour with PR? If not, can anyone tell me why? I don't remember hearing any details about this. Thanks to all! Have a great weekend!

Hi there Sharon. John Deacon retired when dear Freddie died. He hasn't been involved in any of the colaborations with other artistes, and with the reformed Queen with Paul Rodgers. Hope that answers your question.

My memory is a bit hazy, but I thought I recalled reading somewhere that Brian and Roger asked John to take part and he passed - saying he liked being retired.

I was lucky enough to see them in March '06 when they came to Auburn Hills, MI. It was a great show.
Oww. My aching tentacles.
