I was impressed with the energy they had on stage and the sheer entertainment value they provided - a throwback to the days (before Nirvana ruined everything with grunge) when rock bands went out of their way to give you a feelgood concert and actually looked like they were enjoying themselves on stage. The appearance of Uli Jon Roth for a few songs dampened that energy for a while, but the band finished as strongly as they started. Good value for money.
The less said about support act Michael Schenker the better. He seriously needs help and there is no way he should be appearing on stage in his current condition.

Yep I felt the same way too Marty as did my partner Shaggy, about MSG that is. It's such a shame to see a talent being needlesly wasted.
Good value for money is exactly what we thought about the Scorpions though, I couldn't believe how long they were on the stage. It is great to see a band that has been on the go as long as they have still having the ability to produce music people want to listen to, and to still perform like they did in their youth. I can only say Brilliant, and awe inspiring for me....
You are right about the feel good factor, it made shaggy and I feel good, we were grinning from ear to ear...well quite like cheshire cats actually!..and I think the fact that they played many of my favourites was a factor too...
