Hello all
Always loved Lou Gramm - Foreigner and of late I`ve got all my albums out and been playing them to death.
After all these years, the first album has really grown on me, still not too overly keen on Starrider but the rest are classics.
Classics
S/T
Double Vision
Head Games
4 -
Agent Provocateur - That was Yesterday for me is one of their best songs

Red you are the only warped sob I know that would put Unusal Heat first...weirdo....
It's so hard to choose. After I saw Foreigner last week at our fair, I put all of them in my car to listen too. Each one is just better then the next. I would choose 4 because three of my favorite favorite songs my them are on that: I'm Gonna Win, Woman in Black and Girl on the Moon, but the Head Games disc is right up there as well. Spellbinder is one of my all time favorite songs too. Of course this will all change tomorrow when I put in Agent Provacateur!
Screw it...I love them ALLLLL!

Unusual Heat rocks the hardest.
Simple as that, fuckos.
Raider, you HAVE heard the album, right?
I could hipcheck a bank vault door to smithereens listening to Mountain Of Love.

Yeah, I think I've still got it. I listened to it once and it went down in history as sucking. Their best cd though not their hardest rocking is "Head Games", "Women" "Love On the Telephone". Great stuff. Maybe I'll give Unusual Heat another listen.

Ew. LOTT is HORRENDOUS. Good heavy guitars but what a chez lyrical concept.

Aw hell, I didn't know that

On second thought maybe I'll leave Unusual Heat tucked away on the shelf and save myself the trouble.

I liked Unusual Heat very much and thought it was quite ironic that Lou left partially because he was getting tired of all the ballads. Then Foreigner turns around and releases one of their hardest rocking albums ever. Johnny Edwards had a great voice and really kicked ass on that album! I saw then in concert for Unusual Heat and boy did they rock!
I enjoyed Head Games as an album too but can see why it's not peoples' favorite.

I think Foreigner´s problem is that they don´t have that one perfect album like Toto has with Isolation, Journey with Frontiers and Styx with Paradise Theatre. So for me its impossible to name one favourite album as there is good songs in every album but none of them is perfect package.
Edwards

Amazing how much he sounded like Gramm on that album. What's he doing now?
I'm a Foreigner fan but have been hanging out mostly in the Journey forum.

Singing the blues in bars or something like that.
Should've gotten him back instead of Hansen.

Johnny Edwards is still singing around his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Does anyone remember the bar band BUSTER BROWN he was in back in the late 70's to early 80's ??
If you wanna check out his vocals look for the MONTROSE "MEAN" album. He sang lead for that Ronnie Montrose album which also includes James Kottak (The Scorpions) on drums.

Inside Information
A lot of variety on this album. A great power ballad, excellent rockers and some great radio pop tunes.
Remember spinning this disc alot in '88.
