Last Rehearsal Spoiler From 9-16

Here is another rehearsal story-
"Just got back and it was great. Get this: free tickets, free parking and...FREE BEER (and water and soda). It was at the LA Forum and there was probably about 1500 people. The "who's who" list of who was there: Kirk Hammet, George Lynch, Scott Ian, Zack Wyld (who tried to climb onstage and DLR told him to "get the fuck of the stage, what are you some kind of musician?" in a joking way), Steve Lukather, Brian Poshen and probably some other people I forgot.
They played this set:
You Really Got Me
Romeo Delight
Somebody Get Me A Doctor
I'm The One
Mean Street
Unchained
Pretty Woman
Dance The Night Away
Ice Cream Man
Beautiful Girls
[Guitar Solo]
So This Is Love?
And The Cradle Will Rock
Everybody Wants Some
I'll Wait
Runnin' With The Devil
Little Guitars
Jamie's Cryin'
Atomic Punk
Feel Your Love Tonight
Little Dreamer
Panama
Hot For Teacher
Ain't Talkin' 'About Love
Encore:
1984

David Lee Roth was just simply awesome. He should have a Vegas show because he was the best part of the performance. Wolfgang also did very well. His bass playing was good and his background vocals were excellent. I would have preferred to see an all orignal reunion, but he did well. Eddie Van Halen played well and sang well in the group, but his guitar solo wasn't so great. It seemed he was struggling a little with Eruption and Cathedral, even so he still was great. This was their last rehearsal, their next performance will be the first show of the tour.
All in all, I can't imagine how great these guys were back in the late 70's. The combo of DLR and EVH is something that just never really happens in music too often. Both of these guys looked like they were in better shape in their 50's than I am in my 30's. So if you want to see this tour, it should be great. It's not 100% like the old days, but if you never had a chance to see DLR & EVH together onstage (like me) then its simply something that can't be missed."
