I was watching some of the rehersal videos, and I noticed that Ed wasn't playing his frankenstein guitar, and appeared to be playing his peavey wolfgang...
Does anyone know why he's not playing the frankenstein?

He plays several guitars. He has them, why not play them?

Take a closer look at the sunburst guitar he's playing that looks "similar "to the Wolfgang guitar.. The headstock is different and appears to be a either a different neck or a new EVH model based on the wolfgang style.. The headstock is goofy looking..

The reason that I was questioning it was because I was under the assumption that he was under contract with fender to promote the EVH line of guitars, and I found it odd that he was playing a wolfgang.

whatever he plays doednt matter to me. It's what he is playin. The long notes instead of the flurries, like on hot for teacher. He looks better and sounds great, but his playin is still nowhere near what it used to be. He just doesnt break new ground anymore.

Maybe he's going to call it the EVH Wolfgang. He should put the stripes on them though.
