VH Roth, I think you must be one of the best and most loyal fans Van Halen have out there. When others were bagging the crap out of Eddie, Wolfgang, and saying this tour would never happen (ad bloody nauseum), you were always there defending the band and it's music, and to me at least, telling the truth about the situation.

It's significant to me that quite a few of the nay sayers are conspicuous by their absence from this forum at the moment.

To cap all that off, your Youtube posts here are just awesome.

I salute you, my friend. Well done! :D

Thanks Kenny! Van Halen has always been my favorite band. There have been times when I said some negative stuff about Eddie because of some of the stuff he did but he has always been my favorite guitar player and Van Halen has always been my favorite band. I can also imagine how hard it is to fight cancer,go through a divorce and battle drug addiction all at the same time. Look at him know though, running around on stage and having the time of his life.

I have been wondering where all the other posters have gone too. :?:

Certainly seems that more people were posting, when there was nothing to post about, just stuff to go back and fourth about.
I am actually surprised that more people aren't posting now period.
Damn, a VH tour with Roth! You would think it would be buzzing here, yet again, there are numerous VH/Roth message boards that have had die hard fans who have stuck it out for years and they post at those boards like crazy. Always have, tour or no tour.
I think a lot of the boards that are busy here also have no where else to post where a group of people gather...again, not the case with VH.
I can think of at least 6 websites that have hundreds of fans who have posted every day over the years.

I'll bet that if VH came out with new material as well as a tour, there would far more chatter.

There was far more chatter before the tour began with no new music or interviews.

I get the feeling that a lot of people were wishing this tour either didn't happen, or had fallen over already!

So they could continue with the 'Eddie's a druggie' etc etc.....never mind, I'm happier than a g-string in Beyonce's wardrobe!!!

I was kind of thinking the same, just wasn't sure how to say it. Sometimes people just want to focus on the negative.
They were having more fun talking about how it wouldn't happen, would fall apart, or Eddie and all his crap.
Now that things are going good, where are the KUDOS and SWEET!

Like you said piecesofeight, there are other VH forums that have hundreds of people posing everyday, all day long. Maybe it was just some people here that don't like Van Halen.

I am out of my regular post-routine due to work duties. But, aside from that, I strongly hope they could get to Europe and play as good as they're doing in the US.
I was very positively surprised by how much they sound good, how little they miss MA's act, and how strong Roth is sounding.
But I have always been a super-CVH fan....

I stopped posting here because I kept waiting for some new info on some activity from the band. It took so long to hear anything, so I just gave up. Didn't realize they had actually started touring. Oh well.

JOKING!

Who has time to post here when you've been attending every single show of this tour?!

JOKING AGAIN!

Truthfully, I was so blown away by the "reunited" band's show that words seemed to fail me. Hope to see them again soon! :D

Nice job on the clips and setlist, vhroth!

I stopped posting because I got tired of all the bs this band put the fans through.I admit VH may be one of my fave groups but even for the purest of die hard fans....alot of you were saying wtf too

That's because you had all the people checking in, trying to see if it was really going to happen this time. The tour happened, the people went to the shows, and are happy.
Nothing to really bitch about anymore....for the most part, we got what we wanted.

So nobody's posting much, myself included. I saw them twice, going at least once more.

Only thing I'd like now is some new music.

VH Reunion

Postby dudefromtherock » Mon Dec 31, 2007 10:35 pm

I was 2nd row at the Oct 7th show in Toronto.I even spent the big bucks to get a VIP Pass and see my fav band of all time.I've posted pics on my Facebook page btw. It was indeed a thrill to see now let's hope they manage themselves well enough to stick around.A DVD would be a good start...then some new material. Man I was close enough to touch Eddie I even got to lay my hand on his famous Strat! If you haven't seen the show go take in a piece of music history and see the greatest guitarist that ever lived.
