It's going on 5 years since Prime Time and I'm getting a bit worried!
I would also like to see a live DVD like Winger released.
Any info on the band?
A new Firehouse album would be totally awesome!! Do I sense a fellow Winger fan? They are one of my favorite bands. I have their live album on CD, and have their three original albums from the early nineties on cassette, with a couple of copies apiece of each so I do not wear them out. I want to pick up a copy of the new album now that I have heard some of the songs from it on my live album.
If you were a college student in the early nineties (1990-1992), Winger was a pretty popular band. I had a Winger t-shirt with the logo shown on their debut album, and my shirt was definitely considered a sign of coolness. In 1993 or maybe 1994, I was walking around campus one day in my shirt when a younger student who appeared to be a freshman started ripping on my shirt and calling Winger a "wussie" band. Thinking WTF??, I asked some of my buddies what the deal was, as most of us considered Nirvana and the new grunge wimpy poser music. They told me about Stewart on Beavis and Butthead wearing the Winger shirt, and how he was extremely dorky. After a couple more comments from freshman on my shirt and watching an episode of Beavis and Butthead, I put my shirt away. When I went to see UFO in concert this past April, I wore my t-shirt in public for the first time in 15 years. I got a lot of positive comments, but did get one ignorant comment. Mike Judge is a horse's ass for what he did to Kip Winger
