Favorite album of 2007?

What's your favorite album of 2007? Mine is REO Speedwagon's Find Your Own Way Home. They really hit it out of the park with this one. It opens with one of the best hard rockers of their career ("Smilin' In The End"). "I Needed To Fall" is absolutely amazing. "Dangerous Combination" is full of hooks. One of my personal favorites is "Another Lifetime," a great slice of melodic rock. "Everything You Feel" has an epic quality to it. Some of the album is reminiscent of their signature sound and some of it ventures out a bit (successfully, in my opinion). I played this one on repeat for a long time. I still would be if I wasn't so lazy about unpacking after my move. I recommend this album to just about anyone (serious fans, casual fans, curious music fans, etc.).

Real to Reel I & II -- Tesla

I think its one of the greatest cover albums of all time.
Saw them in Baltimore last year and they still can bring down the house after all these years!

Apparantly Under The Fridge thinks it is a great CD since he listed it as his "Best of 2007"!!

Personally, I enjoy it but it is a bit "hit-or-miss" for me.

It's not what you'd really expect from Bach. I think he's tried to give some of the songs a real modern metal sound to them, while others are the more classic "Skid Row" sound. I can see why some people are disappointed with it and, personally, I think he's made better albums. But, at the end of the day, it's still a great album.

Loverboy's Just Getting Started had 10 solid tracks. Mike Reno and the guys went in thinking "single" for every track.

I'll second that vote. And yes, they are still an incredible live act. :)
