OT: Venom Nation Requests.
Posted: Fri Mar 28, 2008 12:56 pmI'm starting another thread because the first Venom Nation Thread is really more for discussion of the show, and posting announcements if you will..
This thread is different. I have something good brewing on the horizon for Venom Nation (and trust me, I'll take MelRock with me....) and I want your input.
I want requests. For songs. And I want you guys to really vary it up....fire them off. Now I have a little restriction... It must be A Rock Track (Encompassing Rock, Classic Rock, Hair Metal, 80's Metal) From the Era I generally cover on the show. This usually means late 70's, all of the 80's, and MAYBE, the first two years of the 90's...so..1976-1992. If you want Nirvana...go see a buddhist. Air Supply is not rock. If you request a track, and we laugh at you on the air, it's a likely guess it wasn't rock, to us anyway. There are exceptions to the rule...things like Van Halen, Queen, Journey, Styx, Survivor, and a few others, will always be included, regardless of original release date, or how much someone will argue they aren't "Rock".
Rare is cool, just realize we may have to dig a little for it. If for some reason we can't find the track you want in our archives, we'll get close as we can...somehow. Deep tracks are a favorite of ours. Yeah. Rare is cool. We like the cool pink center! We want RARE.
So...who's got requests? (And Larry, Rip, A few others, if you've made them by PM or in another thread, post them here...I've not kept proper track of them. )
