Short answer? "No."
The closest thing to news is the 'planned' Live DVD release of the Reunion Tour...

I'd be absolutely shocked if VH ever released another album of new material.

They got through the huge tour w/out breaking up again.
Still kinda thrilled about that right now.
Wish they'd reunite w/ Anthony and Hagar along w/ Dave and record a new record.
Or at LEAST w/ Dave.

Don't forget that they just came off tour, they have no record deal..... they would have to wait for their touring cycle to hit which is usually min 2 years before any promoter will touch them.... plus figure out how they are gonna release the cd once it's finished etc etc..... all of this from a band that is slow to begin with.
I wouldn't expect a tour or CD from them until at least 2010 if at all.

Yep, it won't be the same without Anthony, the tour certainly wasn't. A record with both Sammy and Dave with Anthony on board would be killer.

Giving no info is the way VH operates and has operated for years. They really missed the boat on the dvd for the holiday season. They could release some old dvd footage and make a small box set of old and new. Unfortunately no one in the VH camp has those same cool ideas.

I used to think so, but not anymore.
All indications are that Roth is not the horse's ass he was (and from the looks of the boots and reading interviews seems thrilled and humbled to be back) and Hagar's just a cool dude who I think would do it too. He'll he's already worked w. Dave... biggest obstacle is getting Hagar to talk to Edward now.

I think the band has to remained tight lipped about things to keep it all together. When you think about it, it really is amazing how little information came out from the last tour.

Eddie's new Wolfgang guitar will be debuted at Namm. He says in the new Guitar World that Wolfie has to finish school, then Eddie's getting married, then the band will pick it back up in the summer. Says he's always working on material.

Sam would do it. He even wanted to jam with Dave during their tour together, but Dave wouldn't hear it. I'm not taking sides here either. I love both versions of Van Halen and both Sam and Dave brought a lot to the dance. I really enjoyed the reunion tour with Dave too, but not having Michael there was a bummer.

Eddie says he has a tonne of new stuff...........HASNT RELEASED ANYTHING IN 11 YEARS
Also questioned HAGARS work ethic..............SAMMY HAS PUT OUT AT LEAST 5 ALBUMS SINCE VH
Eddie also stated that if it didnt work out with CHERONE it would be over for vh.....HAS SINCE DONE 2 REUNION TOURS
Eddie also quoted he would never work with DLR again..............We know what happenned there.
Eddie also noted he wouldnt be like KISS and do a re hashed tour to rip off the fans.................HE DID 2WICE.
Obviously there is something wrong with this guy, otherwise how do you explain 3 different singers. They cant all be wrong...............EDDIE GO AND HAVE ANOTHER DRINK YOU JERK AND STOP RIPPING OFF YOUR FANS.

I don't know anyone who went to the show in 07-08 who believes they were ripped off. Now, I heard about a couple of shows during which Eddie was "supposedly" inebriated, but everyone with whom I've spoken has been unequivocal in their abject and unconditional endorsement of the band's performances.
