B Side Question......

What was the B side on The Final Countdown? They had the single in the jukebox in the student center pool hall where I went to college 25 years ago, and I used to jam that tune on an almost daily basis. However, I never got around to buying it, and now I have forgetten the name of the song. You know, one of those "I'll know it when I hear it" kind of things.

Help!!!

Did some research on this for you, Paul. It was originally a keyboard piece from 1981 that they never really finished. They were going to use it as a show opener and at the last minute the label talked them into putting it on the album. Because it was to be the show opener they named the album The Final Countdown as well. The label talked them into releasing it as the first single to radio stations and the thing went straight up the charts worldwide. Originally, the band wanted Rock The Night to be the lead track released. To answer your question; On Broken Wings later became the B-side track. :)

Thanks, Dan. That definitely rings a bell. I remember it being kind of a "Run To The Hills" (Iron Maiden) light. lol

Wonder if I can find that song anywhere.....

The title is "On Broken Wings" I believe it was/is on the 2 disc greatest hits set that came out around 2004.
