According to Hits, rumors are going around that it is a co-headline stadium tour with Van Halen...

http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/rumormill.cgi

SPREADING DEMOCRACY AROUND THE WORLD: Axl Rose intends to take the current lineup of Guns N’ Roses out on a worldwide stadium tour this summer, industry insiders told rollingstone.com. “Axl has been basically quiet, keeping out of the limelight for almost 15 years,” said Guns manager Irving Azoff in the news item. “People think they know him, but they really only know what has been said about him by questionable people. He is a good guy and often misunderstood—he is a professional who has worked very hard to build and maintain a high creative standard for Guns N’ Roses, which I support. We have some exciting things in the works this year for GNR, I’m looking forward to it.” Right on the heels of this news come unconfirmed reports about a co-headlining tour with GNR and fellow L.A. hard-rock icons Van Halen. If this pairing comes to pass, we’re betting it’ll move some serious ducats.

I'm not interested in GnR without Slash. And I don't need to see VH again so soon. I don't really see this happening anyway. Too many volatile personalities involved.

Eh,Im not sure I'd wanna go see that tour if it happens. But who better than Van Halen to close out a show if Axl has a meltdown?

Unless of course, Eddie has a meltdown.....lol

Just pray they don't both have a meltdown in the same night.

Personally I think Eddie has done his last tour. I'm glad I saw it when Eddie was having a good night.

I admit I wasn't a believer when the reunion tour was announced.Everyone in the VH thread knew that.....lol.

I saw them in Reno and they made me a believer then.

Now if only Mikey would be let back..........

Personally,I wouldnt mind seeing a Clash of The Titans type of tour with VH and Kiss.If they had all original members in both bands....that would be huge.

I think part of Eddie's intellect is gone due to alcohol and drug use. After that happens and the hippocampus shrinks, it never gets any better. His only hope is to stay free of drugs and alcohol. One slip and he's back off the deep end. I'd say the hopes of another tour are pretty slim unless Eddie stays 100% clean. It can happen... just look at Keith Richards.

Who ever thought that Diamond Dave would be the most steady and balanced one at this stage of the game?

You mean the Keith Richards who still plays and tours and cannot be killed by conventional weapons?

Well, I would say this rumor has been put to rest. EVH says on the front page that VH will be touring in 2010. The exciting news is that he and Dave have already gotten together to start working on new material!!

Yeah, but VH were supposed to start the new album after Wolfie graduated.
Now they're gonna wait until after the wedding. Then, something else will come up.

I actually thought Wolfie wasn't graduating until 2010 or even 2011 so I thought this was great news that they were moving things up...

Why would Anthony have to sign away his rights with the group to tour with them. That doesn't make any sense, unless he was given a mulitmillion dollar buyout. I wouldn't sign away name and logo rights for Van Halen, that's guaranteed retirement money right there. :?

EVH is such a "Grade 'A' Prime, Stamped 'Guaranteed'" bona fide A-hole. Michael's better off without the roaming VH looney bin.

When I was a kid I idolized this dude. That was the best part of being a kid: you didn't know shit about your musical heroes.

There was no internet to google every word they said or every move they made. Ignorance was bliss.

That's why I stopped those meet & greets and getting backstage passes.
Too much information. :D
