much. I found myself becoming bored w/this one...
I like my Wild Horses with a bit of an edge!!!

I just don't hear that. Sorry.
For me, the Celtic Women [I have listened to them since Gunbot raved about them] have pure voices which are not shrill when they soar to those high notes.

This sounds so much more beautiful to my ears.
It's GB's favourite LIsa Kelly by the way.

I have purchased their music and listened to Celtic Women for a long time.....I agree that Susan's voice may not be as polished as theirs but as I said, considering she hasn't had years of training to smooth it all out I think she does a great job. Her voice isn't perfect but thats part of the appeal...she's not trained and polished, just natural. I listened to it with headphones and although not as smooth as Celtic Women I didn't find it to be " shrill" and I do hear purity in her voice.....but we can agree to disagree on how we hear it.![]()

Wonder who chose this song for her?
I think it's an unusual choice.

Same person that chose Open Arms for Mariah, perhaps!!!
After going on that vocal rollercoaster ride, I puked!!!
I don't know, like any other artist I would like to hear some more of what will be on the CD first.SusieP wrote:Blueskies wrote:SusieP wrote:Blueskies wrote:I think she sounds fantastic! It should be quite interesting if the song choices are as unexpected as this one.
I must admit, I just expected Simon Cowell & Co to play it safe and just bing together a load of 'Songs from the Shows.'
I never would have guessed they would choose a Rolling Stones song!
Bloody Hell - the second single could be All Along The Watchtower or something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Yes, it will be interesting to see what the other song choices were, now. They did pick my fave Rolling Stones song, though, and I think, although the style is different she did put emotion into the song. Heck, her voice is a lot more pure sounding then Mick Jaggers is.![]()
SusieP wrote:pure is definitely not a word I would use to describe Mick Jagger's voice.
Not sure what word IS appropriate, actually.

I can't think of a good word to describe Joe Cocker's voice either, but I've always liked his music.

I think maybe 'pickled' is the best word for him. I like his voice - but he has drunk more alcohol than the whole of his home town, I think.
