I had a friend of mine addicted to oxicotton when it first came out. She went to about 10 doctors getting it and when they caught on she was an addict she moved on to the next one. Finally she had no choice but to get off when she ran out of doctors. She had the withdrawals from hell and nearly died/committed suicide and now just on about 5 other prescriptions from doctors. They are just licensed drug dealer! That's it.

I blew a perc 4 or 5 years ago, had like 7 beers, and couldn't even talk. That was enough of that for me. I don't fuck with drugs.

She is obviously so important to you, and I can't imagine what it must be like to be watching her do this to herself. I wish I had something to offer you to help - I guess all I can say is, if you ever need to blow off steam or talk stuff through, or even talk about something completely different, you know where I am (and I'm guessing there's a lot of other people here who feel the same way.) I never did get the prescription filled, and I refuse to.

Prescription drug addictions are a huge problem ...even getting more rampant usage then street drugs, they say, yet it's not talked about that much and it should be.
My mom used to be prescribed a bunch of pills..had a cupboard full of bottles and was zonked out on them for many years .....so I HATE pills....even if the dentist prescribes them I don't get the prescription filled.

Sorry to read your daughter has been doing that. I hope she doesn't end up having to learn a lesson the hard way and has stopped doing the drugs before something bad happens to her.
