Saw the show last night, and WOW. Great band, great live show. Sammy was awesome as usual, one of the ultimate frontmen ever, still sounds amazing and powerful. Michael Anthony just looked like he's loving what he's doing with this band. Joe Satriani, total guitar god of course, amazing to watch play. And we were blown away by Chad Smith. All I can say is.... D.A.M.N. Incredible drummer. Just unbelievable and powerful, and amazing to watch play. They did most of the album, even Learning To Fall, which I loved since I didn't think they would, and also did some bonus things here and there. Wish we could have seen them more than once, but instead will have to settle for Journey tomorrow night...kidding, kidding, LOL, will be fun too :P

From 6th row, so sorry for the people interference, but here's some vids:

Glad you had a good time, Melly. They rocked in Houston last week too; I was surprised by how much I enjoyed watching each of them doing their thing and clearly having a blast doing it.

Ken won the drawing to get up on stage with them for the last three songs ... lucky duck. :)
I tried to take a picture of him rocking out in the wings, but it didn't turn out.

I heard Smith pretty much destroyed his drum kit at the end of the show. A friend of mine from work was there. He said it was a hell of a show.

Funny you say that, the guy next to us said the same thing, and supposedly there's pics of him wearing a shirt that says "I'm Not Will Ferrell" or something like that, LOL.

That is awesome Linda! Glad you had a great time too! Yay for Ken, LOL!

Rick! It was awesome to see you the other night, as well as Gayle and Jen of course! He did destroy his kit at the end, pretty much stood up the second they were done, and literally walked through the middle of his kit, splitting it in half, and onto the stage, LOL. He also threw out about 247 drumsticks the whole night, did your friend get one? Gayle did! LOL

They rock hard, but they're still surprisingly hook-free for me right now and believe me I've listened for 'em high and low on the albu. Happy it's selling good but hope for better on next.
