This should be interesting... he's well into his 70s! YouTube footage from recent years looks promising though. I love FV and The 4 Seasons, so this could be great if he's still got anything left in those pipes.

Frankie Valle is one of the first voices I remember hearing when I was little. I FV and the Four Seasons. He had a great voice, hope it's still there.

Have Fun!

Pretty cool when you got guys on Broadway doing an act about your group.

I just got back... and WOW. I can't believe it. At 75 years old, the guy sounded UNBELIEVABLY GOOD. Not "Oh, that's pretty good for 75," but "Damn! That's really good and just like the record!"

I really had to watch the guy in disbelief for a while to make sure he wasn't lipping... that's how good he was. His signature falsetto was THERE and he sounded unbelievable singing regular. He didn't audibly or even visibly strain at all, even when he sang the REALLY old stuff, like Sherrie, Rag Doll, Walk Like A Man etc. He still looks great, has a great stage persona, and really comes off well.

His band is incredible... the four young guys he's got as "The Four Seasons" sounded so good together and they danced the part as well... he had to have plucked these guys from Broadway. I can't say enough about how incredible they were as singers, showmen, dancers, etc.

The band was rounded out by two guitar players, a great bass player, great drummer, a killer horn section, and Frankie's long-time musical director/arranger/keyboardist/organist who really tore it up on keys/organ and kept the band tight with his conducting in between keys riffs. They were all really, really fuckin good.

I went to the show for the legend factor, fully expecting Frankie to stand out there and sing a few lines when he was able to and let a buncha young guys cover all the tough notes and performing. I'm glad to say that was far from the case tonight! What a show.

Sounds like me. Give me melody and a good singer, and I'm easy to impress. Especially for someone who likes vocals--you get to see some of the singers who started it all. Some people, like Roy Orbison, never lost it. Nice to know Frankie Valli is one of those. Going to see Little Richard tomorrow. Hope he lives up to the legend. Figured I'd cross a few off the list since they probably won't be performing too much longer.

Dawn was in, Toy SOldier was not, at least not to my memory.

And that is Delonte West of the Cleveland Cavs, recently arrested on weapons charges
