WTF is so funny? i saw tony bennett in concert last year & he kicked ass! his voice is so powerful, even at 83 years old. at one point during the show, he put his mic down & sang without any amplification just to show off. every note was clear as a bell.

in 2004, i watched him totally win over the bridge school benefit crowd, many of which were there only to see red hot chili peppers & eddie vedder. he got a standing ovation. please respect the tony.

I was serious. I have very diverse taste in music and I love Tony!!!

Another thing about Tony many people don't realize is that he is also quite the artist, as in painting.
Take a gander at this:

One thing is true....he's an amazing man.

that's cool. i was responding to the one that's writhing on the floor up above.

for those that will be visiting the city by the bay, be sure to check out the big painted heart sculpture that's located at the northwest corner of union square. it's a painting of san francisco bay by tony bennett. there used to be a plaque under it with his name, but it seems to have gone missing. it's a nice photo op.

Cyndy, I don't really think the V-man meant anything disrespectful by his post. If he's thinking along the same lines as me, he's just killing a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Tony Bennett is one a of coolest guys in the music business. I hope I'm half a cool as Tony when I'm his age. He's a class act guy with an awesome voice & a good sense of humor too! I love the time he made a cameo appearance on SNL during a skit when guest host Alec Baldwin was impersonating him. That was too funny!

Speaking of SNL..... Season premiere tonite with Megan Fox & U2. I'm not a big Megan Fox fan, but I see her name keeps showing up in threads on this board so I know some of you seem to like her. U2, I love.

I'd love see Wayne, even if it's only because I've watched Vegas Vacation 20 times.

Tony Bennett, what a champ, 83? he is amazing, a true singer. This man could show a thing or two to most and probably any artist today, and he sings like a champion still.

You two are old as HELL!!!  Just messing with you... they are both legends (even though you didn't capitalize either of their names! :D ). I would've loved to have heard Frank while eating in some kick-ass Italian restaurant! it seems like the only time I hear him is at Olive Garden.

  I'm just messing with you girl. You know that 40 is the new 20 right??? :D What do 20-30 year olds have that we don't? Less experience, less money, and worse attitudes! Of course, they also have smaller waistlines, less responsibility, can stay up later, and can have all the free sex they want. DAMN I want to go back in time!!!

tony singing "i wanna be around" & one of my favorite songs about my city by the bay.

interesting fact you may not know: "i left my heart in san francisco" & "lights" are played over the speakers at the ballpark after each giants home game.

I figured this thread was a joke just like the Frankie Valli, Kanye West, and Engelbert Humperdinck threads.
