Just uploaded the last song for our album!!!

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I just posted the last song I've written for the album on myspace tonight! I think we're finally done with the writing. We have 12 completed songs for the album, and have at least 4 other songs completed that may surface later. One song may be recorded as electric AND acoustic, bringing our total to 13 songs.

This new song is one of my older songs called "I'm Not Ready". I recorded it several years ago, and had no intention on using it until Alex and I worked on it a few days ago. I think this song may be our best ballad on the album, and I can't wait to hear some feedback on this one! I think my Journey influences shine through pretty bright on this one. Thanks VERY much! I really appreciate it, and I'm very glad you liked it. I know I say this every time I post a new song, but I really do think this is our best song yet! It seems like the more songs we work on together, the better we gel as a team. I'm SO anxious to get these into the studio and it's KILLING me!

It looks like the drums now have to wait until the end of December to be recorded. Once those are finished, we're going to fly Alex here for at least a week or so, so we can mix the album. I'm sure we'll take advantage of the time together and try to write songs for a follow-up album. If I have any way to make it happen, i'll keep him here for a couple of weeks. We'll finish a whole other album!:wink:

Thank you very much, but that's NOT the entire song. It's just a CLIP of the song! I think you'll like the ending, because it changes quite a bit. You'll just have to wait until the album comes out to hear it though...

TEASE! ...Cool! any idea when you'll be finished? Roughly? Spring maybe or is summer more realistic?

Blueskies, it looks like drums will have to wait until the end of December now. Once those are finished, Alex should come here in January or February at the latest! Once he gets here, we'll mix the album, get it mastered, and get with the record labels. Once we get that far, it'll be up to the labels. I feel confident that we'll be picked up, but it depends on what the labels can offer us. It's a tough time for musicians right now.

Either way, we should be looking at a late spring release (with or without label support!). If I have to pay completely out-of-pocket for it, this album will be recorded and packaged with the highest of quality!
