Beat me to it Carla. I Learned this morning.. finally.. about the trailer being out for this movie. I'm a huge horror buff, and I've seen the Halloween and Friday the 13th re-makes, and even though they re-envisioned classic characters/legends, the story itself in this new sci-fi world kind of got dull and boring about an hour in.
It was pretty sweet to see my favorites back on the big screen, but NO ONE can compare to Nightmare on Elm Street.. my all time favorite. Krueger is the best character ever and I'm glad they are sticking to the original story, cooperating the unforgettable scenes, but yet re-working them to shed new light on the scenes. I'm ecstatic that the director and crew did a different take on his image but still paying respects to Robert Englund, keeping all fans happy from any side of the spectrum.
A horror movie, esp that a re-make of a classic isn't supposed to be a GOOD movie, but a thriller, and judging by the trailer alone and sticking to the basics, this Nightmare seems to be on a better track compared to Friday the 13th and Halloween. As far as the Nightmare sequels, to me they don't exist, there's only ONE Nightmare on Elm Street.
Long live FREDDY KRUEGER!
