I don't think so. Styx, Journey, and Foreigner aren't what I call guitar bands. The keyboard plays a major role in a lot of their songs.

Who did you miss? You only named two bands. What does great guitar bands mean anyway? How about the Shadows? They were/are a great guitar band.

i think the same thing.. old REO is a guitar band .. 157 Riverside Avenue is a great guitar song.. any song that features 2 8 bar solos is a guitar band..
Headeast, Grand Funk,,

I can't believe it took that many responses until
someone threw out AC/DC. There aren't too many
bands out there where, with a single guitar chord/note, you
know EXACTLY who it is. AC/DC is one. ZZ Top is up there too,
as well as several others previously mentioned.
I'd have to say though, JMO, that AC/DC is THE truest guitar band
ever and it's cool that they are still doing it the same way after all these years.

Dude, they were the FIRST band I thought of. I threw Priest in there as a sentimental fave.

Hell of a guitarist though. But ya, I'm not getting Paul's Princess Leah look.
Why would you need huge headphones like that......I know nothing about guitars, but why not in-ear monitors or something, why the bigass headphones?
