Who cares, really. Letterman isn't a politician and up until about 20 minutes ago wasn't even married! Yes, I know he was with the same woman for 20+ years, but so what. He is a comedian, and his schtick is to point out funny shit. If you watched his show tonight, he completely made fun of himself just like he did with Sanford. As far as I can tell, Letterman didn't tell his wife that he was out hiking the Appalachian Trail while he was banging his "soulmate" in South America, like that dope Sanford did. There is far more comedy to that than there is bending your secretary over her desk for an afternoon delight
