I like this one. Makes sense to me!

A US woman has been arrested for asking her 13-year-old daughter to ride in a cardboard box on top of a minivan.

Albertville police arrested Jackie Denise Knott, 37, after receiving calls from drivers worried for the child's safety.

Ms Knott claimed the box was too big for the van, so she told her child to sit in it to stop it blowing off the van's roof.

She said she wasn't concerned for her daughter's welfare, as the box was tied to the van with a coathanger.

“The box was too big to go inside the van and she would be able to hold it down if (the child) was inside the box,” Albertville police told the Sand Mountain Reporter.

Ms Knott has been charged with endangering the life of a child.

A relative at the scene assumed responsibility for the girl.

"Oh, Emily, daddy's got a job for you..."

(Unfortunatly, Andrew, you can't cure "stupid" & the woman in this story is right up there at the top.)

As kids, we loved the old refrigerator and stove boxes. Made forts out of them. Who needed video games?

We did too! A bunch of us used to get in the refrigerator boxes and roll down hills until the boxes were rounded...... tumbling around together like we were in a washing machine and get spun out one by one.

The 70's were groovy in some ways. 8)

Boxes were fun to play with...but getting back to what Drew posted...putting your kid in one on top of the car?.....too many people lack common sense and that lady is one of them.

Obviously a Teen Wolf fan.

I used to do van surfing when I was young, dumb, and filled with enough adolescent hormones that death didn't apply to me. Still love bouncing around in the back of the ute running feed out to the stock over summer. Almost as good as sailing ;)

(And yeah, the mother is dumb. Fastened with a coathanger? At least occy-strap the kid to the point of immobility, woman!)

I hear ya Larry, I used to make entire cities and forts. We used to store the boxes behind the shed overhang, and drag them out to play. Till the boxes deteriorated, or mom had a fit! LOL!
