Fucking Fat Jim Carey ...

Time for a new avatar for GI Jim ;)

Comedian Jim Carrey has recently been around Hollywood sporting a giant beard, glasses,
and quite a few extra pounds. We can’t explain the beard and glasses (maybe he lost his
razor and his contacts in the same week?), but the weight gain is preparation for Carrey’s
upcoming role in the Three Stooges movie.

Yes, that’s right: the Three Stooges movie.

Directed by The Farrelly Brothers (who have been trying to get this thing made for years),
the movie will be a big-screen adaptation of the Stooges’ comedy style, featuring some
serious A-list names. Carrey will be playing Curly (the bald one), while Benicio del Toro is
supposedly playing Mo, and rumor has it that either Sean Penn or Paul Giamatti will be Larry.

Carrey plans on gaining even more weight to play the rotund Curly – up to 50 pounds.
And how does girlfriend Jenny McCarthy feel about it?

"Oh my God! I get to be dating Curly!" she told Access Hollywood. "That is the greatest
thing ever."

If it's ANY man to star in this role, it's Jim Carey.

My vote for Larry is Giamatti. THE best character actor of this generation, bar none.

Although his father should have been bitchslapped for banning Pete Rose.

Michael Chiklis should play Curly

That would suck having to get fat for roles... although getting sickly skinny would be even worse, like TOm Hanks in Philadelphia or Christian Bale in the Machinist

I don't know how actors do it! Gaining and then losing would be hard. Guess you can do anything if it means money though!

I'll be anxious too see that movie 8)

I mean, they don't have to do anything else but worry about their appearance and they have access to the best nutritionists/cooks in the world to get them fatter/skinnier as quick as possible. Not that bad.

yes but to quote something I heard oprah say once " it's my ass up on that treadmill, not my trainers" Having access to that doesn't mean it's not still work and not still hard. Especially when your body gets used to eating more and will crave more food. Plus jim's not getting any younger! Male metabolisms start to slow in their 40's. Womens slow at the age of 2 I think :(

Well, Oprah's aversion to working out is pretty evident

I'm sure Jim will lose the weight pretty easily, he's not a big-framed guy to begin with.

No wonder I thought that! I think that was vaguely in the back of my head hearing about that in passing once or twice, probably why I made that suggestion. Kinda like when I think I've come up with a killer guitar hook only to find it's a song I haven't heard in a while :( . I should see that, I loved the Stooges growing up and Chiklis is the man. Thanks for the info.

Too bad he's not beefing up in a muscular way for a role like Robert Downey, Jr., did for Iron Man. It would be a lot more fun for Jenny McCarthy in the bedroom than being with Curly.

I thought it was a movie about the men who played The Three Stooges...like real life stuff...not a movie starring The Three Stooges...

I didn't even know Jim was datin her, let alone that she was still around. Seems like Jim would get along better with a little more sophistication than her... I thought she was in the Pam Anderson league of STDs and various hepatitises by now.

That's what I'm saying...I thought it was about the men, not the characters...how their actual lives went...not a "Three Stooges" story/skit in a movie...

Yeah, pretty sure you're right. I knew about this movie wayyyyy in the back of my mind and that sounds about right. I think I remember hearing Chiklis talk about it an interview that was mainly about one of my faves, "The Shield"

they've been together a long time now. He even joined her cause for autism and goes out marching with her. They are more than just dating.

She isnt as ditzy as she was back in her MTV time. She actually seems more sophisticated and uses her brain,,,, something that maybe Carey taught her? :D

Jenny had ditzy humor, but she didn't sleep around. She was married for quite a while. She was never a skank like Pamela Anderson. She's a great mom who really went to bat to help her son who is autistic and even stopped dating Carey in the very beginning to focus on her son's illness for a while and is now a strong advocate for autistic children. When he improved down the road, she felt she had room in her life for him, and Jim is great to her son. She lives with Jim now.

Hey, that's Evan Handler ("Harry" from Sex & the City) playing Larry!
I know I saw this TV movie when it aired but I didn't remember him in it!

He does - it's under there somewhere. The weight for the movie role is one thing.
I can't get on board with the Grizzly Adams business though.

Lord, I used to have such a crush on him, too.

He was famous at a much younger age, where've you been? His career took off about 20 years ago. I think he was much funnier back during ILC and in the few movies he starred in after leaving that show compared to how he is in the last say 10 years. Everybody gets old so there isn't much you can do about that.

He's not old or wrinkly...you must be a teenager or early twenties, when we all thought 47 was old... :?

He was hilarious in ILC!!! Somewhere they were running reruns of that not too long ago and it was great! I forgot how funny he was in that!

And from what I've seen of texafanas posts I was pretty sure he was older than Jim so I'm not sure what that comment was all about. As a woman I would say even as he is maturing Jim is still a really good looking guy.
