In all of the vacations you've ever gone on, where did you have the most fun at? I'm trying to find somewhere to go next year that is different than anywhere I have ever been (which doesn't amount to a lot). Feel free to post photos, details, links, or whatever.

Japan hands down. I've been to at least a dozen other countries and I've enjoyed them all, but Japan is where it's happening for me. Back in the 80's it was the Philippines because I was involved in music and singing in a band. When I grew out of the desire to sing in a band and towards the desire to get married and have a family with my Japanese girlfriend, I grew towards Japan for those reasons. When I'm in Japan everything I see and do seems to be fun and exciting. Like when your a little kid going to Disney Land. I love it there in Japan. The food, the culture, the temples and shrines, the people, the holidays, everything.

This has been our favorite for about the past decade:
www.WildernessResort.com
It has waterparks galore (indoor and outdoor) and you can get a nice 2-bedroom condo for around $200 a night in the off season.

My family room, with a good sports game or concert DVD, some friends, and a lot of booze and a little food.

Must be nice! We stayed there in summer of 2007 at the Georgian Hotel on Ocean Avenue which was $400 a night. Awesome city, and perfect weather. Unfortunately the real estate prices reflect it!

the georgian is nice, better be for that price! i've been here 14 years, rent control

i am going to have to move out of my little community to provide a better, aka roomier, environment for my son. sure will be tough, i love the ocean climate.

Depends on what you like and if you prefer to chill on the beach or by the pool, or sightsee.
I prefer the latter. Here are some of my favorite vacation spots:
Seattle/Mt Rainer/Olympic Peninsula
Colorado/New Mexico
Bar Harbor ME/Acadia Nat'l Park
Oregon Coast/Mt. Hood/Portland
They all have fantastic scenery, great food, lots of hiking and other fun things to do.
