Should I be glad or sorry?

Postby Arianddu » Thu Oct 15, 2009 12:11 pm

ANTHRAX: CONFIRMED FOR SOUNDWAVE AUSTRALIA 2010:
Anthrax redefined metal in the '80s, stressing anger, speed, and emotional intensity over big hair and power ballads. After a stunning performance at the Sonisphere festival a huge campaign was waged by the fans to get John Bush back on vocals. We can proudly announce that John will indeed be fronting Anthrax for their Soundwave performances and this will surely have the bands faithful frothing at the mouth! Anthrax join 3 other Riot bands on the Soundwave bill – Meshuggah, Baroness & Whitechapel!
Feb/March 2010
Saturday 20 Brisbane, RNA Showgrounds
Sunday 21 Sydney, Eastern Creek Raceway
Friday 26 Melbourne, Showgrounds
Saturday 27 Adelaide, Bonython Park
Monday 1 Perth, Steel Blue Oval
WebLink: www.soundwavefestival.com

Here's the thing - Bonython Park is quite literally 6 minutes walk from my house. Even if I don't go, I'll hear this in perfect clarity, except that on that day I'll be with 500 choristers and 2 symphony orchestras rehearsing for Mahler's 8th Symphony. Anthrax I like, but I've never heard of the others. So should I be sorry to miss it, or just annoyed by the fifty thousand cars trying to park in front of my drive way?
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Charge them all 5 Bucks per car and let them park in your yard. That will make it all worth it.

Front and back yard are fenced, so can't do that - although I do technically have rear parking for three cars. Problem is that I know bastards will park on both sides of the back lane, blocking my gates. Fuckers.

I'll be there in the choir. I'm listening to the music now trying to make up my mind which part I'd like to sing; still not sure if I'll sing alto or soprano (they'll have more than enough tenors, so I won't bother considering it). I play quite a few instruments, but none at that kind of level!
