Hey everyone,

I've got some Cold Heart news for those interested... We are officially a 4-piece band now, and have added an amazing bass player to our line-up! His name is Ruben L. W. Bellucca, and he is from Italy. It's official now... I'm the ONLY member not from Italy!

We were working with Paul Logue from Eden's Curse (who is a great bass payer, and a very nice guy), but decided to go with someone who would be better suited to our style of playing. We have found the perfect match! You can hear his first take on one of our songs at www.myspace.com/jimrykbost . He played on "I'm Not Ready", and did an amazing job! He recorded this song in 1 take and hadn't really even worked on the song at all before. If he can do this in ten minutes... I can't IMAGINE what he can do with a few days worth of recording!!!

So the official line-up is... Alex Mark Scott, Ruben L. W. Bellucca, Federico Paulovich, and myself.

Stay tuned, and I'll keep you posted (as usual!). Thanks very much for all the support and the cool messages of encouragement I have gotten from you all! Hopefully this album will ROCK when it's finished. Take care,

Sorry, but I have to bump this one! I'm just curious to hear what any of you thought of the song now with the real bass line...

Wow, sorry I missed the original post. I think the song is absolutely fantastic. Bass line, vocals, keyboards and all. I don't know if I've listened to it before, or it's been a while but damn. Great stuff Jim.

Thanks Rick, I appreciate it! It's actually one of my older songs that I had no intention on using for this project. I sent Alex the song to check out, and he liked it. We changed the key of the song, and I think this version is MUCH better than the original! Ruben's bass adds so much to it, and I can't WAIT to hear this one (well... all of the songs actually) played by Fede. His drums along with Ruben's bass are going to make this songs come alive, and I just feel so lucky to have these guys on the project! I can't wait to get this stuff done.

I don't have much of an ear for bass, I can't pick it out very well but the whole song is beautiful. Keys, guitar, and Alex's voice. Rowr!

Thank you, I'm glad you like it. It's one of my favorite ballads, and it was one of the first songs I ever wrote. I did have a different version of this song on the site, but it was recorded with other musicians and a different vocalist. I like this version much better, and Alex and Ruben do this song some serious justice!

This version is NOT the full version. I won't be posting any more complete songs. Especially once we start with the final versions. We'll be rearranging several songs and parts of songs (these ARE still just writing demos), and we want to leave people wanting to hear the whole songs. I have to leave you wanting more... I do that to my wife all the time!

I have been real busy at work. Grades to add, lesson plans to write, rubrics to type............and my son has been a big headache. He is going to go stay with his sis for a while, so we all can get a breather. 19 going on 2. Normal stuff. I am sorry not to be on here alot. I am sure some are quite happy! But the holidays are coming..........beware! LOL!
