It's a tragic story indeed, but any one who has lived in Cleveland for 2 weeks knows that it is not a bike-friendly city! It's both dangerous given the nature of our streets and impractical given our weather and other things. This is like the fifth story about it, and truthfully, if anyone's at fault here, it's the tragically deceased!

Stephen Bingham, her father, said he wants to prevent similar deaths. He said his daughter was almost certainly in the truck driver's blind spot when she was hit. She was not wearing a helmet, he said, but it would not have prevented her death because the truck struck her in the midsection.
The driver faces possible criminal charges, police said. (Why? my comment)
In short, anyone who thinks they are going to get around and live and function in a city like this with just a bike is fooling themselves and is a complete buffoon. The only reason they are giving this more attention than any one else who has died on the roads is because of the liberal bent to the story. Such bullshit. One story was enough, I'm tired of hearing about it.
