NFL Coaches That Need To Be Fired...NOW!

Postby Enigma869 » Tue Oct 20, 2009 11:53 pm

Nothing pisses me off more than when I'm watching a football game and am forced to watch a moron like Norv Turner have no idea how to make substitutions and then be forced to use valuable time outs to figure it out. In that spirit, my list of the NFL coaches that need to be shown the door:

1. Norv Turner (Chargers) - This guy has been a fucking DISASTER of a head coach everywhere he's been. All you really need to know about Turner is that Jerry Rice has publically stated that Turner was the worst coach he ever had at any level, including Pop Warner  I've personally never heard a player call out a coach so publically in all the years I've been watching football, so I'm stunned this guy is even a head coach!

2. Jim Zorn (Redskins) - This fucking dude just got emasculated by his owner who just stripped him of his play calling duties. If I'm the head coach, that's when I simply quit. Dan Snyder is a fucking nutjob but Zorn is clearly not head coaching material!

3. Wade Philips (Cowboys) - Another guy cut from the same cloth as Turner. Has been a disaster of a head coach (even with some good teams) and is a complete fucking buffoon on the sidelines during a game. Has absoutely ZERO idea how to run and team and no team will EVER win with this guy as their head coach!

4. Eric Mangini (Browns) - I realize that he's only been in Cleveland for 10 minutes, but this guy as a head coach simpyl doesn't work. His players can't stand the guy and simply don't take him seriously. He's tried WAY too hard to be Bill Belichick instead of his own person and it simply doesn't work. See ya, Eric!

5. Jack Del Rio (Jaguars) - Loved this dude when he played LB for Minnesota back in the day, but I believe his time has run out with Jacksonville.

6. John Fox (Panthers) - His time is definitely up and Bill Cowher needs his next job. Fox will be out and Cowher will be in by the second week of February!

7. Dick Jauron (Bills) - Hate to pick on Jauron because he's a really good guy who grew up in the next town over from where I grew up. That said, he's another guy who is way too fucking timid to be a head coach at this level!

8. Tom Cable (Raiders) - The jury is probably still out a bit on this guy and can anyone really be successful coaching this fucking embarrassment of an NFL franchise? It's probably not a good thing that the guy is getting into fistfights with coaches on his staff. "Just Lose Baby"!

I feel badly for those of you who root for any of these teams. Those of you who root for teams with good or great head coaches, count your blessings and be thankful after looking over this motley fucking crew!

Good post, I agree on the entire thing and everything you just said, but there's still a PINT left for some of these coaches to turn it around atleast for one more year. Image

I will give Mangini through the end of next year. With 11 picks, two years to instill his "culture/system" and going by the most recent rags-to-riches story of the 07-08 Dolphins to the 08-09 Dolphins, I expect a .500 season next year minimum. If he can't at least do that, then he should be shown the door.

I want to be optimistic, but the fact that he picked this buffoon Daboll for our offensive coordinator is a bad omen. What's the thought process there? You're inheriting one of the worst offenses in the league, you trade the biggest talent from that offense in the offseason (KW2), lose some key veterans like Jurevicius, and you pick this guy? The guy's a rookie and hasn't shown any imagination or ability to adjust yet. Terrible pick there.

The rest of these guys should go, they've all had their chances. The fact that SD blew that game last night is absolutely ridiculous, they outplayed the Broncos bigtime.

I agree with all of the above but, sadly,
would have to add Jeff Fisher to the list.
Don't get me wrong, I think Fisher is
one of the BEST coaches in the league.
Since Cowher retired, he's the longest tenured
coach in the league... but maybe that is the problem.

I think Fisher's style/tactics have grown stale with the
team and he has lost the locker-room.
He needs a fresh start somewhere else
and the Titans need a different style of coaching.
Welcome to Terminus... You hungry?
