These days, I only see movies worth seeing in theaters, like blockbuster action movies. Everything else, I wait.

They get stuff to DVD so fast today that it's barely even a wait in most cases. I swear as a kid it seemed like I had to wait for a year for a lot of stuff to come out that I loved in theaters...

Oh, and as for this movie, not really much interested... same thing as the LeBron movie. I like their music/athletic contributions, could really care less about them otherwise though. I'd watch it if someone had it on, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Here's a peek at some of the new photos and a rare one from the "Smooth Criminal" shoot for the DOME Project, in case anyone wants to see.

Since it's only going to be in the theaters for 2 weeks I bought tickets for both Tuesday night & Wednesday afternoon b/c I won't know until Tuesday if I'll be able to make it to the Tuesday night showing. That is my preference, of course, but if I'm unable to go then, I will definitely be there Wednesday. Don't laugh BJG or Rhi but I have already stuck a post-it note to my computer's monitor reminding myself to stay off a Melodicrock starting with midnight Tuesday until after I've seen the show. I did that b/c I know both of you are going to the midnight Tuesday showing & if I'm not able to see it until Wednesday, I want to be able to see it before reading you ladies' reviews? I'm superstitious, I admit :P

I only hope this movie lives up to my expectations. I followed MJ throughout the years. I've studied his technique, learned the moonwalk, anti-gravity lean & so forth & so... yeah, ...... my expectations are pretty high. I'm expecting A LOT of choreography & dance sequences. Of course I don't mind if they show some Jackson 5 footage & whatnot in order to balance out his life, but as a dancer who's worked my ass off perfecting Jackson's moves, I'm mostly looking forward to experiencing the theatrical side of his life, big screen style.

Don't worry Jason, I won't have a chance to post about TII once Tuesday gets here. So no "review" from me.

I'll definitely be there! I can't wait.

Well, it will be after 1:30am, at least, before I get home and I won't be rushing to post at that point, trust me. I'll be rushing to BED. But because it's a big deal and a limited run, I don't plan to post anything that will ruin it for anyone. I am much more considerate than that. I know, I wasn't shy about my review of that paranormal movie but screw it, that's been open for 4 weeks already. It's not like I wrecked it on opening night. And I DID give a spoiler alert so I was still trying to be nice.

i won't be catching it in the theater, but might on dvd. there is a new theater opening at l.a. live and will be showing it on all 14 screens starting at 12:01am on the 28th. the film opens at 9pm on the 27th for 3000 folks.

on another note- the whole area around staples is really nice. the grammy museum is there as well as swanky hotels, nokia theater, and stuff.

Yes, its a 15 city simulcast live from LA for the first show. That's where I'll be.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to imply you, Rhi or anyone else really would spoil the experience on purpose. I just know how easy it is to get caught up in a moment. That said, if the movie sucks, I have to remind myself that not everyone has seen it & so I don't want to come on here saying, "Don't waste your money" & if the movie's good I gotta remind myself not to give away all the good parts. I know.... I know..... I'm getting over zealous, but dancing is what I do & so this is something I'm really looking forward to (even though I didn't get a chance to be in the movie.) My wow-wee claim to fame moments are a Gap, Burger King & Staples commerical. Big whoopee. Doesn't exactly make you want my autograph, I know.   LOL!!!!

MJ's one of my idols so this is really exciting to me.ImageImageImage

No. Simplistic cash grab at best. No way this would ever have been a film if not for MJ's death. Gotta pay the bills...

The movie was going to happen regardless, Drew. That was in his agreement with AEG. He wanted to make movies.
