I also love DEF LEPPARD and I think they're a great band. But if Joe Elliott wants to meet me at an L.A. club of his choice with an acoustic guitar, leave the Pro Tools at home and I'll open up a can of whoop-ass on him!

So true, Dave.....Joe lost his voice close to 15 years ago....that is, if he ever had one.

actually, his voice was pretty darn good on the X Promo Wal-Mart shows. I'm not going to say note-perfect, but VERY good. I was very impressed. By the time the full X tour rolled around, he was good, but a little rough on the edges, and it was downhill from that point on. DL touring every year, plus the smoking, plus the advancing age is shredding what voice he has left (which isn't much!).

Kip Winger is an icon to me.

Kip would indeed win that battle...the man is a master musician.

Their third album - Pull - may have been run over by the grunge bus, but it's still an incredible album. Woefully overlooked and underated...

Burton Cummings of The Guess Who JUST quit smoking at like 60, 61 last December and the difference is night and day. I think Joe's done some serious damage to his voice, but I think if he really committed himself to getting in shape and quitting smoking, he could regain much of what he's lost. Will he ever belt the primal screams we heard on Photograph in the same manner? Probably not. But I think he can sound a lot better if he gets in shape and drops the cigs.

Pull and IV are much better than Winger's first two albums. All of them are good though.

I haven't gotten around to getting the newest release yet though. It's on my list.

One graet debut, an average follow up and then a third CLASSIC album that still sounds amazing today. And yes, grunge did kill them off, but they have done better since. Kip's a genius.

Didn't they start DL when he was like 15 or something?
Seems I have an album somewhere with a big truck on it, and Elliot was called 'throat'.

I'm 100% with you. The first Winger album was great. Winger II pretty good overall but not quite there, but Pull is one of the best hard rock albums I've ever heard. Kip IS a genius for sure.

Winger II is essential for "Rainbow In The Rose" and "In The Day We'll Never See"...2 amazing songs in my book...add "In The Heart Of The Young" and "Easy Come Easy Go" and I'd rate it above average.

Kip is indeed a musical genius...

Just now discovering "Pull"...Excellent album. Wish I'd caught on before.

This is probably another publicity stunt so DL and Winger can co-headline next year like the whole Poison nonsense was
