You want to see a colossal fuck up and see three mucisians all cringe but somehow hold it together?

Last night at the Rock n Roll Concert at MSG, U2, Bruce and Patti Smith all play/ sing Because the Night(Springsteen song that Smith covered). Watch at the :50 mark for this massive fuck up and watch the reactions of Bono, the U2 drummer and even Bruce. They all cringe. After watching it again, Bono fucks up too.

Then later on, she is singing right on Bruce's solo. He says something to her after it's over. It couldn't be all that pleasant. Bet he ripped her a new asshole.

WOW that was a FUCK up... Patti was not in the best form on that song at all... and I dont like her too much anyway... and I loved the drummers reaction to the whole thing...
Bruce and Bono were great though to keep on going!!

They should have gotten Natalie Merchant to sing the tune....best rendition of that song anyway....

Can you imagine Pineda singing over a Neal solo? If I was Bruce I would pissed at her...fuck he gave her the song and she should know the Goddamned words and sequence. If someone pissed on my song like that, an at MSG to boot? Oh man..

I've never liked the Patti version. Natalie has a better voice and is far less unsettling to look at.

OUCH---that was painful!!! Bruce & Bono are two of my favorite performers. The Edge---excellent guitarist. Larry Mullen-----great drummer!!! Patti Smith----no slouch herself. Yet, put them all together & all I can say is WOW!!! Somebody didn't rehearse long enough. What a train wreck!!! It just goes to show you can have an amazing collaboration of talent & still wind up with a fucked up end result. If I were seeing these performers for the very first time I would never guess that any one of them could amount to anything career-wise. Thank God they've each already made a name for themselves elsewhere.

Like I said, she was the most responsible for fucking up but you can see Bono start to sing out of sequence too. Stupid fuckin Bono. Bruce didn't fuck up Where the Streets Have No Name later that night when he sang with U2.

I've seen other clips of Bono and Bruce performing duets together, and many clips aren't that good of them vocally together, except for their energy exuded on stage together is great.
