LOL - Nice week (Just made $35k in my sleep)

Anyone here ever gamble online?

I have this place I play at a little, normally playing about $100 per month, over a few sessions a month. I got an offer for a 200% deposit bonus so I put in $100 and got to play with $300. This was a week ago Sunday. I was playing a slot machine that had a random progressive jackpot. The random progressive can pay at anytime...you don't have to have a special combination. I was betting $1 per spin and the progressive was $10,100

I went to brush my teeth before bed and had it set to auto play. I walked back into my room and noticed the progressive amount was flashing on the screen. Nice! I went ahead and withdrew $9000 and kept $1100 in play on a different machine. This one had a jackpot that was up to $25,000. I decided to go to bed and just let it keep playing. At about 7:am monday morning my wife was hollering at me to wake up. You've just hit the damn jackpot.....again!

I'd been trying to figure out how to go to California the week of Chistmas to be with my kids. I'm no longer trying to figure that out! 8)

One was enough. As far as living in Manila, not til we retire and not there. We have property elsewhere over there.

I'm not really a big gambler. I can't sit there and do it for more than about 45 minutes to an hour. I know exactly how much I have spent. I can't even stand the casino environment in real life. I joined in Feb of this year and have deposited exactly $800 over the course of months. I won $500 there in March.

The math works out pretty damn good.
$35000 + $500 win - $800 spent = $34700 Now it's time to stop while ahead. That's a little less than half of what I make in a year. I'll be happy I can pay off my car I've been making payments on for the last 3 year. :D

They probably don't but I'm sure my bank has to turn in a form 8300. They did not just send me a paper bag with 100 dollar bills in it, it is a wire transfer. They could have sent me a check but I'm not taking a check from a company in a foreign country.

This wouldn't happen to be a Nigerian Casino would it?

Give them an account# to wire money into and they could also take some out.

No. I've been paid by them before and so have many others. They're reputable. The only thing that sucks is their policy of $4000 max per week, so I have to get wired in installments.

Did you actually get paid!?! I play a little on-line poker and always wonder if I'll ever actually get paid off. I usually lose my bankroll anyway. :(

Actually, I just checked my bank account and I have $3965 more than I had last night. Damn, $35 is a bit steep for a wire fee.

My husband & I gamble a little, but we've never hit a big jackpot like you did. Congratulations! However, the IRS does let you deduct gambling losses not to exceed the amount of winnings, so usually when we win, we wind up not having to pay taxes. When you gamble in a casino, it's pretty hard to prove how much you actually lost over the course of a year.

Don't eat shit that turns your teeth funky colors. I have really white teeth, which is wierd because I smoke and drink coffee. I do use whitening toothpaste, but nothing else.

I believe it's $1200. I know that when we've won less than that amount, we never had to provide our social security number or received a tax statement. When we've won more, we did. Now if the Casino is off shore, and you haven't had to give them a SS #, maybe they don't file the information with the US IRS. I would think that there would be some way to find out.
