TSO Debuts At Number 5 on Billboard!
It's a proud moment in my life as the new Trans-Siberian Orchestra album 'Night Castle' has debuted in Billboard Magazine at number 5, right there with Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift & Sting. This is the 1st time I've been involved with any album or recording that's been even in the Top 10 so I send my congratulations to Paul O'Neill, all in TSO & Atlantic Records...I am proud to be part of this family now & even more excited to have bragging rights of a hit album, and this is only the 1st week!

So take that and shove it up your ass, Danny and Tito. :P

His vocals on these songs are very powerful and emotive, and in his lower range. Great stuff. Really looking forward to seeing this show on the 18th.

Gawd, between W.E.T. (higher end vocals) and TSO (lower end vocals) and Mr Big's Live at Budokan cds all in the last few weeks..........ahhhh vocal earcandy overload.

If you're a Wallace and Gromit fan, the guy on the far right is 89 year old Peter Sallis, who is the voice of Wallace.

I've heard of the characters but I don't think I've ever seen a show. But hey, pretty good guess on the age, eh?!

Last time I checked it isn't Jeff Scott Soto and TSO or anything comparable. He's a background singer on the album. With or without him, TSO would've debuted at #5. You guys are really grasping if you are counting this as a Soto victory. That's like congratulating Tim Gorman for playing keyboards on the Top 40 song, "Party's Over." Congrats anyway to TSO.

You knew I was gona chime in sooner or later....

Disc is average, again, at best..... O'Neill has lost his touch. Even 'God' can't save this CD. This stuff is best served LIVE anyway....I'd rather listen to Savatage. How am I doing? Am I curmudgeon enough for ya?

Stick to Xmas music, Paul...Butchering a classic 'Tage song like 'Believe'!! WTF were you thinking? There are probably enough decent tracks here to almost fill ONE disc.

Wrong. He's lead on, I think, 5 of them.

Paul O'Neill quote:

"Night Castle" is TSO's second non-Christmas rock opera, following "Beethoven's Last Night" in 2000. At its heart is the story of a U.S. Army special forces officer (Lt. William Crozier, voiced by former Journey and Yngwie Malsteen singer Jeff Scott Soto) and his journey to fight the Khmer Rouge in the early '70s Killing Fields of Cambodia. "It's an anti-evil album," explains O'Neill, who co-produced the album with Robert Kinkel. "What happened in Cambodia still breaks my heart. The things humans can do against humans never ceases to blow my mind, but somehow in the end good always wins and gives us hope. I think that resonates, especially with what's going on now in the world."

It would be nice if you'd kindly check your facts before making such statements!! Jeff sings lead on 5, COUNT THEM.... 5!!!! songs, and backing vocals on the others!! More than anyone else. He has every right to be congratulated for this victory along with TSO!

Although Tito is being his usual self trying to stir up you JSS lovers , he does have a very valid point here:

JSS's presence on the album, however big or small, has nothing to do with the sales outside of a few people here. I'm still looking forward to hearing it. But TSO is an established juggernaut of a name at this time of year.

Thank you!!! Thats the exact same thing we were trying to tell him when we said Arnel's appearance on Revelation had NO impact on the sales 8)
