I wonder, can you pull hard enough on long hair like that when someone's not expecting it to maybe snap their neck? If they are really slack and have no warning, they could easily at least land on their neck in a bad way.

This can't be condoned any more than hockey players assaulting players with their sticks is - that's assault. There's a fine line between sport entertainment and flat out violence/assault

I mean, in a sport like football, hockey (with the fights and all), I think you assent to the possibility of some violence/confrontation. Hell, even if I went out to a bar and shoved someone a couple times like often happens after hard hits in football, they could bring assault charges against me.

Like I said, I think there's a pretty fine (or maybe not so fine) line between sporting entertainment/part of the game aspect of it vs. things that are too dangerous and cannot be allowed to go on.
