KOST FM reviewed it yesterday, said it was a struggle just to get though the movie to hear the Adam Lambert song. Much like the life lesson given in War Of The Worlds, the question is "Why does Earth have to be razed so that one man can become a better father?"

Yeah; Friday the 13th....ooh I'm so skeered....

I've heard reviews on several radio-shows.....according to these reporters, people in the theaters were LTAO at some of the lines that were spoken.

Um....yeah; I'll pass.....

Sounds like a fuckin' waste of time & money to me. I heard this movie is just all-around BAD. All VFX, shit story/acting. It's being panned across the board as an expensive mistake.

OTOH, The Road sounds like it may be a cool movie.

Save your bucks for Ninja Assassin next week, peeps!!

38% from rottentomatoes.com ...

Though at least one reviewer liked it: "The Ron Jeremy of disaster porn."

For the record, the Mayans never said the world would end in 2012. It just happens to be the end of the fourth cycle of their long count calender. For them, it marked a time of celebration, not annihilation. They fully expected another cycle to start after this one was complete. Then the Spanish showed up and that was the end of the long count system.

Well, you can bet your ass on one thing. There won't be an available pew seat the day before, and everyone will be partying like it was 1999 again the day after.

It is a popcorn movie. Meant as a way to get a way from it all for a couple of hours.

Transformers 2 is another popcorn movie, better than it's first but not a great movie.

OH, why not. He deserves a huge hit, whether it is a great movie or not, after all the great small films he has done.

Well - wasn't the worst movie I've seen but not great. Like someone said - good way to pass a couple of hours eating popcorn (plus movies are pretty cheap here  ) And I do like John Cusack.

I will see it because I love John Cusack. My friends saw it this weekend and liked it so I'm hoping it will be worth it. Though I don't believe in all the Myan stuff. I mean I KNOW they were intelligent, but I am agreeing with Gunbot on this one.

I'm agreeing too.

John Cusack, huh? Nice. Ya know, he's still pretty good looking.
I like him as an actor too.

My sister (who LOVED him when she was in high school) had the chance to talk to him a few times at a job she used to have... he was a client and she had him on the phone a few times (imagine her shock!)... and she said he was kind of a dick.  I think she said he came in once too. This was in the early 90s.

Saw it and it was fun.

Some corny lines? Sure...But when you go in knowing that movies like this usually do
not have a strong script, then it;s not so bad.

Great effects and action.

There's even some good ole John Cusak humor thrown in as well.

That's just because people are flocking to the movie in hopes that Barack Hussein Obama is in the White House when the USS John F Kennedy crushes it....

Don't listen to the reviews....The wife and I went last night and the movie is GREAT!

Sure...it isn't grounded in science or anything, but it is VERY entertaining. Which is what a movie is supposed to be right?
