Man, WTH??? This place (as well as the Journey and SMFP pages) just seem to be barren lately!!! No Deano, St John, Moonie, and MANY more people!!! What the hell happened? I really feel like I'm alone in here at times. This place used to be a riot, but it now just seems SO freaking empty! I NEED to read some corny Stevew2 joke about Cain loving some man-sausage or SOMETHING!!! Damn... is it just ME?

No! I've been anon-perusing for a couple of weeks now and I am shocked at the inactivity!

Nah, it's not just you, Jim. It's the same thing ever day... someone posts something, the usual suspects piss on it, and there is always someone who wants to bitch about the topics. Post about this, this guy is bitching, post about that and someone else is bitching.

All that ever goes on lately is a bunch of little whiny girls spending hours flapping their va-jay-jays in circles about football stats and bad plays. Yawn. I think I saw yet another football thread sprout up today.

With the separate Steve Perry forum, there seems to be fewer contentious threads and less activity. If all of the SP swooning were in the Journey forum, some posters who generally stay out of the SP forum would have to respond and then the sparks would fly! It has quieted down some of the arguing, but sometimes the arguments produce the most interesting threads. So if anyone would like to make an inflammatory statement...

I couldn't agree more! Damnit Andrew... this shit just isn't working like it used to! MAN, I wish it would go back to the old formula. I know I'm probably in the minority here, but this place just isn't the same anymore. If there's a new gathering place... please let me know!

I know where you're coming from, but to me it took a LOT away from the board! It used to be FULL of idiots (myself included), but now you just have three sets of idiots, and it's just not the same. The front page also used to really excite me, but there's rarely anything on there to excite me anymore either!

What happened to Stevew and JasonD? Those two are always good to liven the place up.

I've been working on putting new carpet in my basement... damn sump pump stopped working in the middle of the night last week, woke up to an inch of water.

you're right. it always gets like this - goes in little cycles. and every time it cycles around, someone says "where is everyone". it's just the nature of the message board beast. it seems less crowded because some spend most of their posting in the SP board and others in the Journey board.... the long time misfits like ourselves are still up here causing trouble... but maybe it's our slow season?

I like the Off Topic board, but I wish we could combine the SP forum with the Journey forum again. Having them in separate forums is akin to separating the Calgary Flames and the Edmonton Oilers into different hockey leagues. Where is the fun of a rivalry if the two teams never get to play against each other - no one gets to root for their favourite, do their little cheers, heckle the other side, etc.? There are teams in Journey fandom and mostly it's a friendly rivalry with everyone enjoying the game and some taking it too seriously at times, but right now it feels like we're waiting for the new season to begin.
