Just posted a brand new version of "It's All Over Now&q

Postby G.I.Jim » Tue Nov 24, 2009 12:30 pm

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let those of you interested know that I just posted a brand-new version of "It's All Over Now", and this version kicks the old versions ASS!!! :D First, Ruben recorded some awesome bass-lines, then Alex re-recorded the guitars AND vocals, and they sound 100 times better than the original. I also did a lot of swapping out of sounds on the keyboards, and the new sounds are MUCH better. We still have to tweak the vocals a little, but I wanted you to hear it, so I posted it anyways! Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Hmmmmmmmmm........what do I think? Well gas prices are up again, thanks to the holiday season and greedy oil folks. The student at table 2 in my class to the left is stupid if he thinks I can't see him texting away under the table again........that phone is going to be mine tomorrow if he gets it out again...... Red paint doesn't come out of clothes........darn it! NOT ANOTHER SHIRT RUINED! I am sick of tuna and wheat thins for lunch. How did he get that pencil stuck in the ceiling tile like that? Our ceiling must be 15 feet high! Aw.......that is so cool look how much they are having fun with this lesson! I need to pick up some cat food tomorrow. Rinse out those brushes completely and they would not be hard as bricks when you want one................  Maybe I can take my students to the museum soon.............Hopefully I won't have a student trying to hump a statue like the one I heard of once!    Try getting the paperwad into the trashcan next time.........Shack........ There is so much dripped watery red paint under his desk it looks like this is a slaughter house!  Yeah Picasso, I wouldn't insult his drawing till you get yours out of stick man phase...........

Oh you mean about the song? I'll just listen........teasing us again I see.

This is a strong track Jim. Really, one of my faves from you guys. NICE work. Great guitar playing, great mood setting by the keys.

Just keep in mind that for the raaaaasp to be effective it has to be felt, not forced....too much put on will be heard so it has to be felt in the emotion of the song and not overused. Just sayin'. 8)

Yes, I know you were , so don't get overly defensive to something said constructively and generally speaking but said in the same vein.

I did not have this particular song in mind or in fact any Cold Heart songs in mind. What was in mind is some of your other songs were you get very raspy. Hey, if you can't take a little constructive criticism then you leave no room for improvment. If you just want to hear 'thats great" about all of your work then why bother asking for opinions? Okay, I'll lie to ya then and just say "it's all great, Alex...every single thing you do so don't change a thing". Feel better now?

Sorry, but in my opinion in some of your music the raspiness sounds too forced. Take it or leave it but thats what I think. You get stuck on one critique when overall I've been very complimentary.

I'm sorry Blueskies...but I WAS JUST KIDDING....I figure out the 1000 smiley faces I did put within the words I wrote didn't worked out :-)

I repeat it I WAS KIDDING....
I just wasn't feelin' ya . :P

 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D ok...really I don't want to start a fight because of a misunderstanding! peace & love :-D

Theres no fight here. Peace & love & hugs & kisses, friend. Now lets get back to the mothership!

 Thank you! I really appreciate it.

I Quote!!! Thanks to you..

Raaaaaaaaspppp....

Alex Mark Scott

I bet nobody except MG knows what you're talking about.

You're wrong...I just called Dann and Richard (they know what I'm talking about too) and both said "we're going on lip-sync next tours....PLEEEEASE backup!!" so.... :-D

Just keep in mind that for the raaaaasp to be effective it has to be felt, not forced....too much put on will be heard so it has to be felt in the emotion of the song and not overused. Just sayin'. 8)

Thanks Blueskies...I'll surely keep that in mind....and as you stated that... are u really sure I'M FORCING the rasp right there? Couldn't it be that my voice IS just like that within that specific range? but most importantly....do you really believe what I sang there is NOT FELT ? :-) you probably know better than me so...PLEEEASE EXPLAIN IT TO ME Blue :-)

just sayin' btw...
